No. People get upset when athletes use our national anthem as a means to stage a protest. They have the right to do that, but their boss also has the right to fine or fire them for upsetting the customers. Flag of their God? You think conservatives worship America? Maybe fans wouldn't be upset if the players would pretend to like the place that made them millionaires.

He implicated Trump for giving his opinion on it. I think its odd we didn't see them losing their **** over the previous President giving his commentary on things.

You have accused me of trolling multiple times but you can't support that accusation when I asked you to you dodge the question. If you don't want to discuss it anymore you could simply stop responding.

#394 I explained to you how you were trolling.

Of course you’ll just try to spin things and try to deny it.

I’m done with you. I won’t be in this thread after I post this so whatever you write back I won’t see. It will just be for you and your ego.

    You gave an opinion.

Well, I think I'd know better than you.

    Okay then. Carry on.

Where have the players been protesting injustice since the Superbowl? Do they only protest at their boss’s expense or do they actually have something to say for themselves? Don’t these millionaires have enough money for a commercial during an NBA game?

I agree that it is between the players & the owners, but after that I disagree completely!

About the NBA game--- they probably spent the money to get Carlos Santana & his wife to play the National Anthem, which by the way was absolutely " AWESOME",he sure can make that guitar sing--money well spent!

I'm sure it was great. I like Santana, but the protesting NFL players haven't spent a dime of their own money to protest anything. They have been using the league and the league has absolute control of their message during games, practices, and any time the players are wearing their uniforms.

If the players are serious about these "protests", why aren't they bringing it up in after game individual interviews(unless contracts say otherwise) or buying commercials on TV, radio, or print media? They have shown no commitment other than kneeling while on the clock and costing their bosses money. Maybe that's why nobody takes them seriously.

Well, they have been using a platform that up until trump got involved was acceptable to the NFL-- so there's that----
Oh,they are being taken seriously ---the owners can say they are losing money because of this, but let's see their statements, maybe there are other reasons they are losing revenue, like have you seen the prices on some tickets? just saying----
Hey, I would love it if this issue was over,it was almost quietly resolved--

The NFL can ignore Trump all day long if that's what they want to do. The proof is in the NFL ratings. They have consistently lost viewers since the NFL started allowing Kapernick to use the National Anthem to whine about losing his starting position. Even if he lost his job, he could have transitioned to coaching or broadcasting. He has kind of poisoned that well.

I haven't supported the Cowboys since Jones fired Landry back in the day, but Jones took the right stance. He took a knee before the anthem with the team and stood for the anthem. It was a one time message with the purpose of putting this behind the organization. It seems to have worked. Cowboys haven't been lacking support and the protests are a non issue in Dallas because they are behind them. Goodell is trying to do the same thing, but he doesn't have the support of some of the owners.

Dallas has lost 6 police officers in the last couple of years and we have a major shortage of police officers. They are looking to hire close to 1000 officers. Even the Cowboys don't want to protest the cops here. The fans wouldn't put up with it and Jerry has known it all along.

But, that's just it, the NFL is not ignoring trump-boy do I wish they would---
Well, I would like to see some proof that the NFL has lost ratings directly because of Kap's kneeling!
    But,whatever,it is full blown now---

FALSE! Not all speech is free. The 1st amendment is the weakest part of the Constitution, carrying numerous exceptions to it. Exceptions to free speech are >> perjury, slander, libel, sedition, threats, fighting words, child pornography, obscenity laws, etc.

The kneeling for the national anthem is not an issue of free speech. If the kneelers wanted just to speak out on something, they could do it in a thousand different places, at a thousand different times. But they choose to do it DURING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM, and in front of thousands present, and millions on TV. They do it to deliberately attack America, no other reason.
