The war on drugs is part of this - increased police powers and militarization of our police are big part of what resulted in this Cop's attitude - one that is shared by many Cops.

That's why Floyd is dead - not because of some fake 20.

Not in Kansas. I picked it as kind of being middle of the road. That is the average base salary.

Average base salary just under $54k. $21K less than $75K. That average is biased by a couple of very expensive large states, New York and California where the average Joe cannot afford to buy a house.

I'm good with the ones that use their authority correctly, being paid more, as long as those that don't are identified and promptly removed.

THE WOKE BEAST CANNOT BE APPEASED: Woke Employees at Woke Ohio Taco Joint Walk Off Job After Refusing to Fill Order for Cops.

If you can be driven out of business for not serving someone who is Gay, surely you can be driven out of business for not serving a Police Officer.

Either that. Or cops are going to want to be very polite when addressing a suspect who is black.

No, America is blessed with liberty and plenty, and life is good. These people are revolting and protesting mightily over essentially nothing.

Floyd was cuffed and in police custody, and they killed him, that we do know, you would have a valid point had he not been cuffed and this was during an attempt to cuff him

the knee had no business being on that mans neck all that time, none

no one should refuse to serve a police officer, but I would not hold the owner responsible for his employees actions, they quit, it was not a order from the business

Killing Floyd was wrong and should not have happened regardless of what Floyd did or did not do earlier. .

I was talking in general terms. Many of the deaths involving the police happen while resisting arrest..

I think we may see instances where cops will not use force on anybody ... ever. A passive refusal to enforce the law. "Safer that way."

I fully support you in this.

Democrat majority areas should move to eliminate their police forces all at once.

Cops should treat everyone politely when possible. Im talking about the select few folks who make enforcing the law necessarily violent. People who run, struggle and/or fight. I was pretty clear on that in the OP...

Unless you think they should be treated politely as well... What is the polite way to apprehend someone who is trying to run or punch or stab their way out of an arrest?

Maybe he got it when he robbed and beat that pregnant woman at gunpoint.

Floyd is dead because he was a career criminal including at least 6 different stints in jail two of which stemmed from robberies, one of which he robbed and beat a pregnant woman at gunpoint.

He had just passed a counterfeit $20, was high on meth and was about to drive a car and possibly kill someone.

And he wouldn’t have even been dead then if his dumbass had gotten into the police cruiser like he was supposed to instead of resisting arrest because he didn’t want to go to prison for the SEVENTH time.

You may feel that reality is some sort of social construct, where I think it's actual existence; reality if you will.

Other than people who really want to do fentanyl, meth, hash, or coke legally, there doesn't seem to be any reason to bring the war on drugs into a discussion of George Lloyd's death since he wasn't arrested for a drug crime. You're simply trying to take advantage of someone else's tragedy to promote your desire to get high legally.

Any cop who is not capable of restraining themselves and apply reasonable force when required, needs to find a different line of work.

So am I. Cops will need to learn how to apply reasonable force in the most polite way possible, especially when dealing with black suspects.

Just as a start, for example, once they are under restraint, not killing them just because they're black should be considered "polite".

Even if everything you say is correct None of the what you have said absolves the Cop of guilt.

The only thing that has prima facie (on the surface) potential is the "resisting arrest" claim. Digging deeper that potential drops to zero - as once the perp is on the ground on his belly with hands handcuffed behind is back - 4 officers in total present - the fight is over.
