if you can't accept that many blacks get mistreated SIMPLY due to their skin color, i cant help you.

must be nice to always be treated with respect, huh?

i was Stopped & Frisked once in my life. They were relatively polite to me.

if i was black they would have thrown my ass to the wall

Blacks are mainly mistreated by other blacks, BY FAR. Skin color the issue? Or a VIOLENT CULTURE?

Everyone has been mistreated over their skin color.

I have. My wife has (not white btw). My friends have (whites, asians, blacks, dominicans, bi-racial).

I've been face planted by police. Is it because I'm white?

Victims see racism everywhere, and it's why racist leftists promote it.

How is that related to this thread? You've made 30 posts in this thread and all I can get out of your posts is that the black judges are racist at UT beauty pageants .

there isn't a large trend of white people being severely mistreated by authorities simply due to their skin color

Dress up like this and wander around a jewelry store.

Let us know how you're treated.

Did I say black men do? That is clearly a white man.

    Your racism is hanging out.

My point, clearly, is that your skin color won't save you if you dress up like this.

What's sad is that folks aren't born this way, they are taught racism and taught "differences" between one another. Children don't have this sort of mentality, that garbage comes to them later in life when they are taught it by someone.

I saw an article a few weeks ago about two 5 year old best friends, one white and one black, who got the same haircut to "confuse their teacher" as a joke. The teacher played along of course and the entire thing was just awesome and beautiful.

Any logical person could obviously tell them apart...one is a white kid the other is a black kid. But THEY don't know that. The fact that their skin tones didn't match at all didn't even cross their young minds. All they saw was another PERSON, and they are best buddies. They didn't see that one was black and one was white, they just see each other as two 5 year olds who if they cut their hair the same could confuse the grown ups. They don't even understand that they are physically "different" colors.

THAT right there is what society needs in adults. To be able to simply see each other as PEOPLE, as AMERICANS, not as "white people" or "black people" or "latino people" or "asian people" but as simply people. As fellow Americans.

But society won't do that. Many in society love the dividing lines between us, they love being able to say "hey you are different than them". And to be 100% honest and speaking completely outside of the box based on what I've seen in my life....It's sadly usually many of the minorities themselves who want to be seen as "different" than "White People".

A 100% "equal" America scares the crap out of a lot of folks. Because that would mean you have to stand on your own two feet and compete on an equal playing field with everyone regardless of what the hell you look like. People don't want that. Whether anybody will openly admit it or not (they won't), many folks absolutely love the fact that they get "perks" for being "minorities".

Things like this black only beauty pageant are prime examples. Let a school throw a "White only" beauty pageant in 2017 and watch minorities throw a Tasmanian Devil style fit. But a "black only" beauty pageant is perfectly acceptable in the year 2017 because "White people used to do this sort of thing back when our freakin grandparents were kids and we still feel the pain and suffering from that somehow even though we were born in 1996".

    Absolutely a great post.

For most of my life I’ve lived in areas that had a high percentage of black residents. Same with the schools I attended. Then, I worked with, and for a time, hired, black people. I’ve spent loads of hours and days with black friends, socially and work related. My Best Man at my wedding is a black guy (and he and his wife are two of my favorite people).

In all of that time together, over a lifetime, we were never harassed by the police. Driving together, we were never stopped or given a second look. And NEVER have any of the blacks I know complained about having those things happen to them. Though, I’m sure they are very aware of racism and our country’s history. And I’ sure they must have had to deal with racist incidents.

Now, I’m sure they’ve felt the sting of bigotry and racism. But they didn’t let negative feelings about whites or cops consume them. They had better things to do, and important things to focus on.

When I hear people endlessly whine about all the white negatives: “white privilege,” “white supremacy,” “white you name it,” I just cringe. To the whiners, I say: “I’m tired of hearing it.” “Get over yourselves, already”. Stop searching for reasons to whine and complain. If you want things to get better, first, change your attitude. Then, you can begin to change your life.

I'm suggesting that your skin color is not the determining factor in how you are treated, obviously.

Well from what I have gathered here YOU aren't black. So how is it that YOU "understand" but somehow other "non blacks" don't understand?

I'm black so I guess I'm allowed to "understand".

And I, as a black man, am saying that what you are saying is untrue. If you were stopped and frisked "as a black man" then no you wouldn't automatically be tossed to the ground just "because you were black".

If "non black" folks aren't able to "understand" black people then that rule applies to ALL "non black" folks. "Non black" people who happen to agree with the majority of black people on issues don't get exemption from that rule.

So what I'm saying is. It's equally hypocritical to speak "for us" if you aren't black as it is to speak "against us" if you aren't black.

Ya know, I'm glad that every once in a while we can have a productive post on this forum.

It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

I hope people learn something from this thread today.

i understand that many police see all black people as criminals, so insist that they are not deserving of benefit of the doubt and simply see and treat them all as criminals.

and if not present criminals, then future criminals.

growing up in NYC, you learn these things.

unfortunately, for many black people, especially in the inner city of NY, NJ, boston, oakland, LA, detroit, chicago, that is not the case.

but keep denying that racism exists in america

Are you not aware that many police are black/minority?

More than 1 in 4, apparently.

There is NO way you could know that.

You're just making stuff up, now. To try and help bolster your other, relatively weak, assertions in your other posts.

No one is denying racism exists, it just certainly doesn't exist at the level you want to believe is true.

I'm also not denying that many people who see themselves as not racist, actually are racists.

No, you're assuming racism where none exists. The photo of the white seems to show he's a gang-banging rotter who would most certainly be profiled. The point is....IMO....actions or presumed actions are profiled...not skin color.
