Cheap electricity, sustainable solutions, green energy… Iran’s nuclear program is claimed to be focused on these and other peaceful purposes, as its leaders have repeatedly reported.

    But what if?

What if these so called domestic plans are in fact a basis for procuring Iran with atomic weapons?

Unfortunately, that’s exactly what recent IAEA reports claim, and US/EU confirm. So what will it be, nuclear peace or nuclear war?

This albeit simple question is quickly becoming a focal interest for the whole world because if Iran really is building THE bomb against IAEA and NPT guidelines, sanctions may soon give way to a war that will put the entire world (not just countries directly involved) in danger. But than again, as citizens of the west we are in serious lack of information…

The only people who know for sure the real answer to this question are the top ranking leaders in Iran but, it is not easy to understand what they believe, know and intend.

Iran’s leaders repeatedly stated that Iran had no intention to ever build the bomb, but their attitude and reactions to the reports and requests from the IAEA and to the sanctions and warnings by the US/EU are rather concerning.

This website is an attempt to make sense of their public remarks and spread a better understanding of the dangers the #NuclearWar option poses.

So is Iran planning a nuclear war? Listen to the Iranian leaders on this issue in their own words and decide.

Crap. The IAEA reports claim no such thing. Their inspectors are in Iran this week. The Israeli assessment - given to the US just last week- is that Iran has made no decision to build any bombs. That viewpoint is echoed by the US-funded independent ISIS group of observers.
Your post is uninformed , dangerous crap and your poll is juvenile in its over-simplistic range. Many people, for example, are opposed to civil nuclear energy on the grounds that it represents ecocide.

Thank you the opinion mr guru. It's really important for me to listen to whole variety of opinions. However atom energy scares the hell out of me in total (enough to remind our soviet neighbors in Chernobyl or Japanese guys as latest remebrance)

But the last IAEA report was just regurgitated past news to get Americans believing the Bogey Men were getting ready to nuke Israel
They are back there today I believe . Let's see if they have anything new and/or definitive to say before calling out the cavalry .
There are many other ways of attacking this problem --- selective assassinations and cyber worms to wreck communications . These have been in place for years and used very effectively .
Anyhow , the US does not want to get too involved with Iran until it has achieved regime change in Syria and then Lebanon .

    Unless you speak Farsi you're never going to know what the Iranians think. Why ? Because you can't trust any of the so-called ' translations ' found in the Western hysteria media and you can't trust anything coming out of Israel- let alone translations of Iranian policy. So what do you do if you want to know ? Read MEMRI ? What a joke. MEMRI is run by ex-MOSSAD agents. No, you have to find a translation source which can be trusted. I use the website of the President of Global Americana- Informed Comment- which is run by an expert in both Farsi and Arabic , Juan Cole. Cole has no love for Ahmadinejad but he reports factually from the Farsi. So, if you really want to start threads like this be sure that you know who thinks what. Try it and see;

Of course Juan Cole is as biased, as anti-Israel, anti-American and anti-Western as they come and his translations are nothing more than spin, contradicted by the translations of the EU, the UN, the US, Russian, South American, Chinese translations and ironically the official Iranian translations too.

Pretty lame even by your standards to try to paint Juan Cole as some kind of an objective unbiased translator. Everyone already knows and despises him.

Cole's adherence to truth speaks for itself. The bones of wannabe character assassins litter his columns.

Juan Cole is a joke among public intellectuals. The fact that Moon is forced to cite the works of an American joke like Juan Cole demonstrates that she is an Americanphile. Shakes head.

There will be no nuclear war. Even if Iran has the capability to enrich uranium to the point they can build a nuclear weapon, it will be decades before they can weponize it and place it into a delivery system able to reach its enemies. Not to mention, by the time that happens, many of its enemies will be able to intercept any missile fired at them. Iran's only hope would be to build thousands of them in hopes that a small percentage will be missed by patriot missiles or other missile interception methods that will be developed in the future. Until then, they just continue to lead their country down a path of destitution and famine much like North Korea. At least N.Korea has a giant beast of a n Ally keeping it from completely collapsing. Iran does not have that to lean on.

Not so sure on this issue bro: Look at this on: it's quotes from media, local and global

    http://iranuclear.wordpress.com/achmadinejad-in-his-own-words/

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is the sixth and current President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the main political leader of the Alliance of Builders of Islamic Iran, a coalition of conservative political groups in the country. His second presidency term ends on August 3, 2013. He is not eligible to run for another term under the current Iranian constitution.

Ahmadinejad is a controversial figure both within Iran and internationally. He has been criticized domestically for his economic lapses and disregard for human rights. He launched a gas rationing plan in 2007 to reduce the country’s fuel consumption, and cut the interest rates that private and public banking facilities could charge. He supports Iran’s nuclear energy program. His election to a second term in 2009 was widely disputed and caused widespread protests domestically and drew significant international criticism.

Is Achmadinejad aiming for Nuclear Peace?

“Those who are seeking to build nuclear bombs or those who stockpile, they are politically and mentally retarded.”
    17/01/12 The Nation – http://goo.gl/fi904
Or is he leading Iran (and the world) towards Nuclear War?
“If some try to impose their will on the Iranian people through a language of force and threat, we will reconsider our entire approach to the nuclear issue.”
    20/09/05 Asia Times – http://goo.gl/jcLKt
“Have no doubt… Allah willing, Islam will conquer what? It will conquer all the mountain tops of the world.”
