That you right wingers backing Ben Carson can do so when you spent so much time bashing Obama's 'lack of experience' is beyond hilarious. What qualifies a neurosurgeon to be president ?!

This inability to be consistent with your own values and standards is why I question the true merit of what many say on the right. In the end, it seems if they have an R before their name, they can do no wrong.

But if they have a D, there's no limit to how many wrongs they can do.

Without holding a political office, this factor is going to be Dr. Ben Carson's Achilles' heel. I think it is impossible for him to get the GOP Presidential Nomination. Since he is now devoting himself to a book tour, perhaps this may be a reflection time for him to prepare a speech that he will be dropping out of the GOP Presidential race.

 

Not needed because he has no political experience. He's a brilliant doctor and needs to remain as such.

In 2008, Obama had no executive experience, no energy experience, no foreign policy experience, and no business experience. He was just a community organizer.

 

I think that's the OP's point. Right now, Carson's resume would have the same empty boxes in executive, energy, foreign policy, and business. So why would he be a better choice than Obama if your criteria is experience?

I don't think Dr. Carson would like a politician operating on his head - why would we hire a President with no experience with Congressional Law making or in directing a staff of thousands of people?

 

Well, you have to admit, Obama has set the bar pretty much on the floor. I don't expect Carson to get the #1 spot, but he could get the #2 spot or a cabinet position. You what is really interesting, is just how much a small uptick in the Black vote for the GOP moves the Electoral College.

Obama has set the bar so low, that this isn't really an issue. Whether Carson gets the 1 or the 2 stop or a cabinet position, what we need is him on the campaign trail for the ticket.

Obama was also a senator that studied and taught Constitutional law. Don't leave that out.

Funny both Bush and Palin had far more political experience that Obama so for that matter did Hillary. Please explain to me why political experience is such a great thing? Near as I can tell the only thing time in Washington guarantees is that if you had a soul to begin with you've probably sold it by the time you get the requisite experience to suit some people.

If someone came in applying for a position in my firm I usually ask them to provide their college transcripts. Anyone can claim having earned a BS or BA. I want ro see a GPA.

Re: Obama's resume, no evidence that Obama ever taught courses in common law, Constitutional Law and government affairs at the Univesrity of Chicago Law School.
All that is known Obama taught courses in “Current Issues in Racism and the Law” and "Alinkyism."

 

May we also add that Obama's foreign policy decisions have led to barbarity, genocide and total chaos in the Middle East and total economica failure in America.

 

It's not necessarily, but that's my point. Experience was deemed Obama's weak point by the GOP, yet they're giving on pass on Carson because he has an R by his name.

When did begin a neurosurgeon become one ? Obama was a US Senator and taught Constitutional Law. Obama > Carson when it comes to presidential qualifications.

 

Especially when he doesn't adhere to his own teachings. He should've been impeached for violating the 9th Amendment and anyone else would. We know the reasons the Democrats gave us for why he's essentially the golden goose no one touches until he very mercifully leaves us.

How does a man who majors in psychology wind up in med school? When I was in school, entrance to medical school required the student take calculus, 4 chemistries, and upper courses in anatomy and physiology. I can't find any information on Ben Carson taking anything like calculus or chemistry. Why is that? Did he 'pass go and collect 200 hundred dollars' because he is black?

The point of having pre-med students take calculus and chemistry is to weed out students who do not have the mental aptitude or critical thinking skills necessary to become doctors.

Did Ben Carson take any pre-med classes at Yale when he was majoring in psychology?

 

Dude when I was in school Premed and psych was a medical specialty and you went through premed to get to advanced psych degrees.
