Obama's projections were for a 10 year cost of 900 billion, but the cost is actually 2.6 Trillion.

Obama projected premium could go down by as much as 3000% and we'd all get a raise, nope we got a 63% increase instead.....

Now tell me whose projections are you gonna trust?

Do you have any empirical evidence that contradicts it? If so please link to it.

    Complete nonsense.
Greedy insurance companies are milking the public yet again.
If you people had supported the single payer system, instead of wallowing in all the sissy whining about socialized medicine, we could have gotten the insurance companies out of the healthcare equation and have had a much better and affordable health service.
We need to keep pushing for single payer system and get the greedy and the corrupt insurance companies out of the healthcare system.

The Republicans wrote the original bill. Enough of the bad parts had to be left-in to maintain some conservative support.

Lol...Your petulant little retort is complete nonsense.
Outside of the fevered brains of right-wingers, it has nothing to do with Obama.
Single payer is the most economical approach to healthcare.
Every single country that has single payer health care has lower per capita health costs than the US.
Look it up. Educate yourself. Stop looking foolish.

    Here's one example:

The problem is that he didn't spend to clean up the mess. He spent to help his cronies and donors out. This has been the worst recovery since the Depression, primarily because of the way money was wasted rather than spent in a way to stimulate the economy.

Government Health Care - Waiting Lines

    August 2009

Canada Tells Residents To Be Patient - Or Fly South For Health Care

Belinda Stronch, a member of the Canadian Parliament is one of the strongest supporters in Canada of the nation’s government health care program. Yet, according to a May, 5th article by Ed Feulner of CNS News, Belinda was diagnosed with cancer in 2007. Was she cared for by the Government Health Care system that she so strongly supports? No, she came to California and paid out-of-pocket to receive treatment.

Another woman was flown from her home in Calgary, Alberta to Great Falls, Montana to deliver her quadruplets because this relatively small city in Montana had “better facilities than any hospital in the wealthy province of Alberta”. Government-run socialized health care has been in place throughout Canada since 1966. This system has been pointed to as a model not only by proponents of California’s SB 810 (2009) but also, according to analysts, by the President’s new government health care initiatives.

After paying so much in taxes to fund Canada’s healthcare system, most Canadians can’t afford to travel to the US and pay for their own medical care. Canada has a population of 32 million and 3.2 million Canadians (1 out of every 10) are on waiting lists to see even their primary care physicians. These circumstances, grim at best lead to the question: If the United States adopts a Government Health Care system similar to Canada’s, where are the Canadians going to go to get their medical care? By the way, where will Americans go?

Have you ever thought that the reason it works in other countries is BECAUSE they have lower per capita health cost than in the US?

In 2010, the US spent over $2.6 TRILLION on health care. That is over $8,000 per every man, woman, and child in the US. So, how do you pay for it in a single payer system? If it is through taxes, for a family of 4, that would be over $32,000 in added taxes. The country can not afford a single payer at this time.

    http://www.kaiseredu.org/Issue-Modules/US-Health-Care-Costs/Background-Brief.aspx

The problem isn't insurance or having some government pay for health care. Health care in this country is way too high per capita. Before ANY system will work, the medical industry needs to be curbed and the cost regulated. If the costs are not controlled, Obamacare and/or single payer will fail as the cost will bankrupt the middle class....especially if they are required to purchase insurance which will just increase their rates to keep up with medical costs.

Your premiums have actually gone up a total of 80.56% across your 2009-2013 timeline if you figure in the annual increase you are paying on the previous years annual increase on top of the original baseline(compounding).
