Yeah, try again. When you face reality... it is OBAMA'S mess, not Bush's.
That is what is you people need to face and own "up to it yourselves"
Obama has spent more money than Bush dreamed of. Owebama is America's NIGHTMARE that came alive.

I didn't vote for him either so people shouldn't automatically associate me with agreeing with Obama. I don't think we've ever had a good president. None of the candidates are very good and do not deserve to be President. Government is more efficient that private business if you do have a good president. The problem is finding a good president when you have stupid people in charge and stupid people voting for them.

Funny you should mention that. During the Bush administration, the loan program for Solyndra was unanimously rejected, but as soon as Obama got into the White House, it was expedited. Of course, it's probably a giant coincidence that Solyndra's principle stock-holder is one of Obama's largest political supporters. I'm glad to see that you're remaining objective and waiting on more evidence before you arrive at a conclusion...

    Interesting.

The President of the United States helped to insure over $500 million in loans to a failed company whose principle stockholder is one of Obama's biggest supporters and the left is tripping over themselves to rationalize it.

Actually, it's not that interesting. Predictable and sad, but not interesting...

It's very interesting if it helps remove Obama from office in 2012.

Interesting that the Federal govt has a Dept of Transportation with a budget over $70 billion. And every State has its own DOT with a budget as well. [PA. has a DOT budget over $5 billion] And together they collect user fees from every commercial truck every year. And together they collect over $.50 on every gallon of fuel sold in the US. [Over 350,000,000 gallons of gasoline only, per day.] And interesting that with all that money collected for the express purpose of building and MAINTAINING our Roads and bridges, politicians have the balls to claim the roads and bridges are falling apart.

Similar to the levees in NOLA. Millions spent every year to improve and maintain the levee system. When Katrina came we find out that we had spent Billions over the years for loose mounds of dirt that washed away.

that might make sense if it was the Obama admin who pushed this company to begin with...

but why would the Bush admin be trying to help an Obama donor?

Solyndra did not qualify for approval under Bush.

Obama had to push that through over the objections of the experts.

    This clearly an Obama scandal.

An application for something does not assure automatic acceptance.

Solyndra was not approved under Bush and may have been denied.

Nope. Although you're not the only one spinning...

    http://mediamatters.org/research/201109190020

What's really amsuing is Murdoch's right-wing WSJ named Solyndra #5 (#1 in clean energy) on its "Next Big Thing" list, as recent as 2010.

    http://graphicsweb.wsj.com/documents/NEXT_BIG_THING/NEXT_BIG_THING.html

You'd think they'd go with one of the other companies that received the other 98.7% of DoE loans.

Solyndra has to be put in the right context.

    Solyndra $500 million +

    Evergreen $5.3 million

    Spectrawatt $.5 million

    Mountain Plaza $2 million

Olsen's Crop Service and Olsen's Mills Acquisition Co. $10 million [also defaulted on a $60 million bank loan]

    And who can forget
"Fast and furious?" The body count of American and Mexican Police Officers is still rising.

All failed ooohbahaaamaaa administration 'programs.' 32 months. Does anyone wish to keep seeing this incompetent idiocy for 96 months?

It is possible, even probable that no one in the ooohbahaaamaaa administration has ever heard the words, "Due diligence."

All the FBI needs to do is to get the weakling of the group in a room and then offer him a deal when he comes to the realization that he's looking at a lot of years in a federal prison.

Awww isn’t this precious; the Liberals and liberal Media Matters are desperately tripping over themselves to provide cover for Obama. How expected!

Aren't these the same liberals who claimed that Bush cronyism was responsible for the high price of gas? Yet today we hear nary a peep from the buffoon defenders as gas prices approach $4.50 a gallon.

Aren't these the same liberals who claimed Bush was a Big Government spender for spending us into a $400 billion deficit? Yet today we hear nary a peep from the buffoon defenders when the deficit balloons to $1.6 trillion with much, much more to come.

Carry on; it is amusing watching the same hypocrites who, if it were Bush, would be calling for his head on a platter for something this outrageous. But hey, what's losing another $550 million of other peoples hard earned wealth when you are doing what makes you feel good inside right?

It also created construction jobs. What I'm saying is just because these worthless businesses create jobs doesn't mean anything. 50% of jobs are worthless and don't benefit anyone in society.

Under Bush the Republican controlled Congress ran up deficits of a total of $1.6 TRILLION in 6 years. An average of $267 billion per year and that is a terrible, despicable figure. The left was entirely correct to condemn those numbers.

And now, since Democrats took control of Congress they have run up deficits of a total of $4.5 TRILLION in only 4 years. An average of $1.125 TRILLION PER YEAR and somehow the left makes excuses for this absolute insanity. A number of $267 billion is awful, because it was. But somehow a number $858 billion greater than the Bush deficits, AVERAGE, is excusable. Loony Liberal Logic.

The main difference between the Bush deficits and Obama deficits were that under Bush we had 9-11 and consequently went to war in two nations by majority vote; show me a war that was fought without deficits.

Obama's deficits are self inflicted with more to come thanks to the porkulus bill and Obamacare.

Yes running deficits are not a good thing but when Republicans were voted out of the majority it had been managed down to $161 billion.

Let's keep these realities in perspective when debating hypocrites on the left.
