It's true, isn't? Mitt Romney isn't a "job creator." He's a corporate suit. Bain Capital is an asset management/financial services company. Whenever I think of Romney has a "job creator," I just can't help to think about the movie Wall Street and a memorable line Carl Fox tells his son, Bud Fox.

Carl Fox: Stop going for the easy buck and start producing something with your life. Create, instead of living off the buying and selling of others.

When all of the top lobbyists and contributors for Obama and Romney are almost exactly the same, it is probably safe to assume they will both suck pretty bad.

    Good ad..

All Romney did was downsize, rightsize and sell off assets and divisions.. He didn't create jobs.

I've been disappointed with many of Obama's policies, but I'd still prefer him over Bud Fox, errr....I mean Romney. The guy isn't a job creator. He's just not. He's a money trading corporate suit. I've worked with his kind of people in the past. They're only interested in moving and trading money. He's the kind of guy who lives on offshore bank accounts.

What Romney did at Bain Capital was to save jobs where the company could be saved and where the company couldn't be saved he saved the company's stock holders from total losses.

Only liberals expect management to go bankrupt paying them for non productive work.

LOL "Save jobs." Romney was a venture capitalist. He wasn't saving jobs. His only goal was to profit.

I am going to abstain from voting or just write in something silly. Perhaps Ron Paul. But neither Romney nor Obama will receive my vote. That is for sure.

You don't understand venture capitalism do you? Let me ask you, who's a job creator? People like Steve Jobs or a bank?

This stuff happens, and its no good for US manufactoring. What someone/corp will do is buy a company, a take-over, borrow against its liquid assets, and use that to get back more money, or use it to see if another venture can make more money.

The unions destroyed the steel industry with their wage and benefit demands. These facts have been well documented.

Mitt Romney waqs not even with Bain Capital when this incident happened. He vhad been gone for two years to head up the olympics committee.

Bain Capital has invested millions into startups, many of which have went on to hire thousands of employees.

Staples anybody? They were primary financial providers for the "start up".

Clear channel? Acquired in part by Bain Capital.

The Weather Channel.. Yup, them too.

Bain Capital in itself employs 400+ people.

When the left doesn't like that a company engages in capitalism, suddenly the jobs aren't as worthy I suppose.

    More "feelings" and "emotions" non-sense.

It isn't Bain Capital that lost those jobs, it was failure of the government to protect US steel industries. The expectation of these guys that a company operate in a loss is ridiculous and is so telling of the lefts policies.

Oh please. It's laughable how far conservatives will go to label Romney a "job creator." He's no more a job creator than a bank. Steve Jobs. Pierre Omidyar. Larry Page. Those are job creators. Mitt Romney is nothing more than a financial paperweight.

Your definition of "job creator" is much different than my own.

Then again, you typically believe that giving cash to unemployed people creates economic growth.

    LOL

    Come on November.

Agreed. My definition of 'job creation' actually involves creation of some products or services for consumers. Apparently your definition includes pushing money around and playing with the middle class Americans jobs.

    That's a strawman.

You mean like the way Obama simply threw thousands of GM dealership workers overboard when he took over GM? Funny I never hear you clowns complain about that.

Obama should be such a "vampire". The number of jobs created and sustained by Bain far outweighs the number of jobs lost. No wonder Obama lags behind in the polls despite holding all the cards. He just reeks of desperation.

Newsflash, Obama isn't in charge of GM.

EDIT: And it's funny to see a conservative jump aboard the GM Bailout train and reference "jobs saved." After all, you did want to save GM, right?

    ALL bailouts are bad bailouts.

Both are. banks employ, they give loans to small businesses every day. Small businesses use the money to buy, expand, hire, use lines of credit to buy new equipment etc.

Bain helped save many companies. Romney created more jobs than Obama and that is a fact.

Yes, and banks also deny loans and credit to small companies everyday. So I suppose they're job destroyers too, eh?

Bain is a freaking venture capitalist/assest management firm. Romney didn't create the jobs at Staples or Dominos. He lend them funds to have the financial backing to do so. He's a bank. He's in the business to exploit companies that deliver a real service or product and take their money. He's just like every one trick pony on Wall Street.

And Obama was a constitutional lawyer. I'm not sure why he'd have created more jobs than Romney.

...yet the left an Obama focuses on the one that failed and uses that as the focus of their ire. They might as well focus on the countless small businesses that fail every year and use that as proof that capitalism doesn't work.

So what are you claiming now? That Obama and his administration was not behind bailing out GM (and closing up hundreds of GM dealerships)?

Further edit: I didn't reference jobs saved by GM at all! In point of fact, I discussed the number of workers displanced by the Obama people when they simply swooped in and took GM over. Learn to read someday.
Did I want to save GM? Sure, but not the fascistic way Obama and his crew did it though.

The reason they deny loans and credit is done for a reason. hence why the housing melt down happened. hence why the 2008 collapse was started.

people were given loans that they could not pay back.

Bain saved companies and saved jobs.

When was Obama a constitutional lawyer?

This is what's known as a distinction without a difference, boys and girls. Without the financial backing from Bain Dominos wouldn't have had enough to buy the cardboard boxes they pack their pizzas in.
You people are priceless, and not in a good way!

It's obvious you have a bug up your rear when it comes to capitalism itself. Why not just unburden yourself and admit it? If you call giving capital backing to a company so everyone can make a profit off the services and goods that company provides "exploiting" them then you really have no business criticizing Romney, comrade. It's capitalism itself you seem to detest.

He wouldn't have, most emphatically, and that's sort of the point. When you take a radicalized community organizer and put him in charge of the world's largest economy don't be surprised when he makes a complete cluster eff out of things.
This country needs a businessman to pull us out of our economic somnambulism. We don't need a clown relic from the Alinsky school of thought, a most decidedly anti capitalist point of view.
