This is an interesting question to Obama. He could eliminate Hillary's candidacy any time he wanted to merely by having her indicted by the Justice Department. The Justice Department can get an indictment against anyone they want to, evidence or not.

 

My guess is she has a lot of dirt on Obama and threatens to use it. The Clinton's are ruthless and if they go down, so do a lot of other people.

 

I was referring to the standard imposed being political, though yes the FBI will want them too (the number they know about tripled a few days ago and will only grow with time). Think back to wikileaks-people weren't arguing that they were faked-and they were reported on and still are.

Now criminally, yes they will need to be authenticated-but that is not going to be especially hard for the govt to do-these secret emails were after all classified govt documents. It will be easily done.

Very true, but Obama's pretty ruthless as well. And neither is a fan of the other.

 

That is the issue. Progressives think lying ok.... They're like "so what"....... I remember with Bill they made the issue about a blow job instead of him lying and committing purjury...

The same (*)(*)(*)(*) is going on here.... Hillary was careless and is trying to make it seem like she is being attacked when there are already people in prison right now that have done what she did....Do progressives really believe their saviors are above laws that apply to everyone else?

Funny how laws apply to bakers or woman who refuse to issue marriage licenses but they don't apply to their politicians..... Hillary should be tried for treason, not only for being careless with emails but for basically leaving Christopher Stevens to die....

 

The left believes the ends justify the means. If it advances an agenda-even illegally it gets tacit and sometimes overt approval.

Its times like those that they really let their true colors shine through.

 

They've been doing this for years now.... "by any means" is how they go about their business... The constitution means nothing to them unless they're citing the Fourteenth Amendment.... They have no respect for anything that is outside their agenda...

You mean the standard used in civil proceedings? Because in criminal proceedings they use this standard known as "beyond a reasonable doubt." And that requires admissible evidence.

Yes, and they already do. The hacker isn't central to the case, it just makes it more damning for Clinton, just like her IT guy who is now pleading the 5th.

 

They already have her in her own words admitting to having the server, and she has turned over secret documents already, as determined by the FBI.

She really is in a world of hurt.

While she's not going to jail this is not a fake scandal.

 

Only if you can track down the emails on the receiver's servers. But in that case you wouldn't be authenticating the hacked emails. You would be authenticating the emails on the receiver's servers. You'd just be using the hacker's data to find those receivers.

That doesn't go to authentication or admissibility. If they could prove that the emails were sent from an email address that Hillary used, then the evidence would be admitted and it would be up to the jury to decide whether Hillary in fact sent those emails from her computer. Nobody would buy that defense.

She would not have to take the stand to challenge the authenticity of those emails.

In that case, who needs this hacker if the government can track down her emails anyway?

 

I will say its more transparently partisan politics, as it has been with the IRS, etc.

But the thing is-we are in an election season and such tactics dont exactly inspire voters.

She's such a flawed candidate, the longer you put off a more viable candidate, the worse it will be.
