And when people make ridiculous, stereotyping comments they look like a bigoted jackass.

I'm not involved with, or talking about the SF incident. I havent looked into it yet, as I have been following the Portland showdown, so I don't have a comment on it.

But in Portland, there has only been one incident of protester violence, amd the individual was pushed out by protesters over to the police where he was arrested.

These people are nuts. It's only a matter of time before they mobilize their violence and declare war on the rest of us.

The Tea Party never did anything like this. And yet they got raked over the coals again and again by the media. The very same media that doesn't seem nearly as interested in showing these Occupy people for the lunatics that they truly are.

We gathered peacefully, discussed our ideas, and elected people into office who represented those ideas to enact legislative change through the system via the democratic process. The way you're supposed to do it.

They are blocking traffic, preventing entrance to buildings, (*)(*)(*)(*)ting on cop cars, getting arrested, stealing, raping, killing, and commiting suicide.

Are people really that stupid that they can't see the truth right in front of them?

OWS is no longer a protest movement (if it ever truly was). It is essentially a bunch of lawless mobs now.

Our new president wants to tax the poor, lower taxes on the rich. He wants to "round up" immigrants, many refugees from fascist regimes propped up by US businesses abroad. Does he think nobody sees this? He wants to further the third-world-ization of the American wage-slave. Does he think the people are so weak as to just sit by and watch? Since the Viet Nam ant-war riots the "powers that be" have increasingly underestimated the citizens of this country. We are nobody's patsies. We do not exist to be exploited by the 1 percent, by any power-tripping greedy warmongers. Trump, his Republican cronies, their Democrat sympathizers - the whole sorry lot will learn what lies in the heart of "The People" - to whom this country and everything it REALLY belongs.

The reasons for citizen unrest are not difficult to see. The cause of US workers job-loss was job elimination/outsourcing due to technology, and the propensity of corporate heads to maximize profit at the expense of workers. But Trump has pointed at competition from Latinos as the cause of US citizens' job loss. This is the kind of demagoguery practiced by Hitler; Latinos are no more the US's problem than the Jews were Germany's. What are disenfranchised US citizens and out-of-work US workforce to do, exactly, except take their message to the streets? Precisely what other recourse do people have? Violence practiced by the left comes out of desperation - but violence from "duly constituted authorities" is from a much darker place.
