So called organic food is a joke. To put it bluntly do you want your carrots fertilized with cow dung or sterile nitrogen????

fyi, organic can be grown productively.

Good for him, i am sure he worked for it.

There is nothing stopping high yield production in organic food.

Don't forget the tank bottom cleaner fish that is being sold as a delicacy, talapia. It eats poop, so it must be good. Wrong.

    http://www.americulture.com/Disease.html

Tilapia tolerate adverse water quality and other stressors better than most other commercial aquaculture species. Because stress and environmental quality play such important roles in the disease process, tilapia are labeled as being very "disease-resistant." This basically means that in the presence of pathogens, tilapia are the last to break with disease.

Fyi, farming, like all other industries, is becoming science and engineering bssed. Plants and animals have no idea what organic means.

    Already knew that.
And there is nothing wrong with that. Golden Rice, a GMO, for example COULD help a lot of kids who otherwise go blind. It COULD I say because filthy hippies prevented its proliferation to those people because "gmos are BBAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDD".
    People are dumb

Oh yeah, hippies are the reason people are starving.

Never before has the world had 7 billion people. I get my information straight from the experts about food production, not from human opinion. About 2 billion are currently surviving on organic, surviving being the operative word. The other 5 billion include over a billion in which the people are malnourished and subject to starving. This based on the billions of food products we give them.http://www.motherjones.com/tom-philpott/2014/05/china-us-food-pork-wine-export-import

No, insufficient nourishment in the world is the reason. Sad to say some of us Liberal Progressives have HELPED this situation to occur.

No need to fear your food, The understanding of allergens has been around for a long time. The other facts suggest if we ate food raised for high production to feed the world, one out of many may get cancer in 30 years. If we continued to raise food as we currently produce with chemical fertilizers and pesticides, some will die. If we don't? Millions could starve. I don't know about most, but that sounds very the worse.

Yet it is not enough production. Insufficient organic fertilizer.

Obviously they haven't asked me and all the liberals to contribute. Or maybe we are holding out for something better, in our diabolical designs to rule the world.

no one denies the lesser evil is toxic food that can easily feed many people, because more will survive with chronic diseases than die sooner of starvation.

but the goal of innovation is for long and healthy quality of life, if their innovation is sickening much less killing just one person, then they are doing something wrong.

Even that won't do it. There is insufficient quantity of organic fertilizer to feed 7 billion people.

    - - - Updated - - -

Pretty weak response. There is no reason to fear GMOs, or Nitrate fertilizers. We proved that for over 100 years on US farms.

    - - - Updated - - -

    LMAO at a ridiculous response.

E Coli inside a vegetable cannot be washed away or sanitized short of cooking to kill the bacteria.

You are talking about PREPARED foods with sodium and chemicals, GMOs are no more likely to have additives than organic, much of which is known to be contaminated with E Coli. You would fear your own tears if someone told you they were contaminated.

Or irradiated instead of cooking them ;)

You still need to wash them though. Dirt can carry nasty stuff other than E coli.

The inability of organic food to grow enough food will cause people to starve. Not the organic food itself, but organic food bears as much harmful bacteria as standard grown food.

    - - - Updated - - -

Wow! Irradiation? Another dirty word in the vocabulary of food snobs.

Organic food is capable of feeding the world. It would just require a lot more producers. Small farmers produce one and a half to twice what agribusiness produces per acre according to various studies. The problem is not in the production, but in the distribution.

I have had elephant traps around my house for almost 30s and I have never seen an elephant so they must be working.

I eat some products from China regularly, crawfish being the most common. Never been an issue. A good crawfish etoufee is always cooked well enough the bacteria can't survive. I have eaten the native food all over south and south east Asia, east Asia, and Australasia without ever a food born disease as I lived there for better than 5 years.
