I'll agree that "religious nuts" are dangerous. Hundreds, and thousands of years ago, every major religious system in the history of mankind went through very violent, intolerant, dangerous periods. Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, and even Hinduism! BUT, only one (ONE) of the world's major religions is a clear and present danger today (TODAY), and that is violent, extremist Islam!

We can, and should, learn from the past and not repeat the errors (thank you, George Santayana), but we must deal with violent, tyrannical Islam today (TODAY). It is Islam that goes around murdering people who won't convert to it! It is Islam that continues to treat women like beasts of burden and/or sexual amusements. What point of comparison is "like water"...? Are you suggesting that Christians believe that water is a lie? To sum it up -- yes, Judaism and Christianity have strongly disapproved of homosexuality, and hundreds or thousands of years ago, people were killed for being homosexual by those in the Jewish and Christian communities. BUT, who is conducting these big murderous "jihads" against homosexuals TODAY, in the 21st-Century, where WE must deal with them?! . Still, if you want to rant and rave about what religions did long, long ago, and try to equate that with what happened in Orlando five short days ago, then be a typical myopic hyperliberal and have a ball!

 

The difference of course is she is now the presumed nominee. Sanders rally was that they support Clinton to make sure Trump not be allowed to become president. If Sanders supporters decide to support Clinton, game over for Trump IMO. It won't necessarily translate to a landslide for the Dems, but they will get the majority for Hillary to become president.

I think it is a sad time in the U.S. when the BEST the GOP and Dems put up is Trump and Hillary. Sad indeed.

A good analysis. There may be a lot of people staying home out of disgust for both but that would probably work in Trump's favor. His supporters feel more strongly for him than anyone does for Hillary. She does not debate well and her past will certainly be on display. Trump's past is far more positive and people are more likely to take a risk on him.

If Hillary makes it past the Convention, which is now becoming an open question, I think she could lose big.
