They say something like this after every Muslim attack. They were struggling financially, he was unhappy at work, he was a closet Gay, and so on. No matter how often these killers identify with the Muslim community this administration will look for and latch on to other more obscure reasons. It's denial on an outstanding level, and some easily led will prefer to go along with this canard because facing the reality could be much more difficult.

Says the Leftist who listens exclusively to left-wing radio and television, and who scoffs at anything contrary to his own Leftist dogma, without so much as thinking about the points made.

Rude, uncalled for, but standard fare from Left-wing radio shows, and Leftists in general.

Quantum Nerd, a college professor, commented that "nobody is more judgemental (sic) than Christians."
Leftist that he is, Nerd overlooks all judgmental remarks by his fellow Leftists who of course nod their heads in unison to judgmental comments about Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, George Bush, Adolph Hitler, Rush Limbaugh, Fox News, ignorant Bible-thumping fundies, "neocons," "misogynists," "homophobes," "greedy rich Republicans," big business, capitalism.........

How about the number of suicides people commit because of Christian persecution? Suicide is the leading cause of death in gay people, not mass shootings. Are conservative Christians partially responsible for those?

I don't know about that poster, but I'm on the left and listen to conservative talk radio all the time. I want to try to gain a better understanding of where the other side is coming from so I can have more in depth conversations with people further to the right. I live in Denver and the conservative talk radio show I listened to the Monday following the Pulse shooting was appalling. They went on and on about Muslim terrorists and how it doesn't matter who their victims are, they are terrible and we should protect Americans blah blah blah. Then they close their show by saying the worst thing the community could do to support LGBT people was to show up at Pride the following weekend. Encouraging and supporting "their sinful behavior" is what got them killed in the first place. Screw you talk radio guys. Anything else they said was completely wasted on me after they said that. The victims brought it on themselves right? Because of their nasty gay behavior. F those guys. Conservative talk radio does nothing to try to understand where the left is coming from, but for some reason the left is supposed to try to understand conservatives.

There doesn't appear to be any indication of mass suicide in the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, or Christian persecution, but perhaps AG Lynch would be interested in your theory because she seems to be lacking one at the moment.

That does not make a lick of sense! The point is that hateful rhetoric, persecution and violence towards LGBT people emanates from the Christian right as much if not more so than Islamists -at least in this country:

Do you know how many transgender people are killed each year? Now tell me how many were killed by Islamists vs. so call Christians.

A Clinton Democrat gunned down over 100 gays in the Pulse and its the Christians' fault?
DP partisans, like RP partisans need to get their heads out of the political haze and think - for a change.

Said the conservative talk show host, which got you so very angry. What you overlook intentionally is the profoundly violent nature of homosexuals.
The murderer of 49 homosexuals was... a homosexual. The Left obsesses on the gun issue, but not the violence OF homosexuals, like mass murderers Omar Mateen, Gary Kraft, John Wayne Gacy, Jeffrey Dahmer, William Bonin, Andrew Cunanan....

A Clinton Democrat Sparky??!! Clinton!? He registered in 2006 and we don't know if he even voted then or since. We know nothing about any US party loyalty or affiliation. NOTHING! Pushing this Democrat thing is a pathetic exercise of desperation to gloss over the real issues and the real responsible parties.

Oh! Come off it! He was a Clinton Democrat. How could an American, Muslim, terrorist, gay male, not be a Clinton Democrat?

Well that is some elite cherry picking right there

Totally ignoring the fact that most mass murderers are NOT gay

Actually if you look at any list of rampage and mass killers America tops the list world wide - so using the same logic it is not that anyone is gay it is that they are American

His friends says otherwise, that he was a loyal Hillary supporter. Is it so wrong for Islamists to want Hillary to beat Trump, the guy who would vet Muslims?

Actually I got it from that notorious right wing GOP house organ - the Washington Post. ;-)

“Omar and I continued to have infrequent conversations over the next few years. I last saw him at a dinner at his father’s house in January. We talked about the presidential election and debated our views of the candidates that were running – he liked Hillary Clinton and I liked Bernie Sanders. This banter continued through texts and phone calls for several months. My last conversation with Omar was by phone in mid-May. He called me while he was at the beach with his son to tell me about a vacation he’d taken with his father to Orlando the previous weekend. He’d been impressed by the local mosque.”

In the true spirit of bipartisan good will I will concede that Mateen and his friends and family might have found Jeb Bush just as compatible with their world view if they had considered it. Is that better? :)

You don't trust the Washington Post?

Really? Interesting that you would post that assertion without feeling the need to document it. That would not be another one of your logical fallacies- this time an appeal to ignorance? Eh Bubba?

In a casual conversation, he said-according to one person that he "liked Clinton" That makes him a loyal supporter? And what if he was? What does that have to do with the heinous act that he committed? Can you establish a cause and effect relationship between a mass murder and support for Clinton/ being a registered Democrat? Of course you can't but that won't stop you and your ilk from implying that there is.

If he did support Clinton, maybe it was due to Trumps Muslim bashing. That would make sense but it still has nothing to do with the fact that he had serious mental problems as evidenced by his abusive behavior towards his first wife, the fact that he was struggling with his own sexuality, and that he was steeped in anti gay sentiment from many sides including radical Christianity.

    "Radical Christianity?"

Sometimes people post things and it's almost impossible to believe they're serious. Christianity doesn't seem to have any role in this terrorist attack at all, but people have their go-to enemies that they try to force in regardless of facts. Sad. :frown:

IOW, "Sparky" Mateen was, in fact, "an American, Muslim, terrorist, gay male," psychotic "Clinton Democrat". I cannot believe this comes as a surprise. ;-)

I am sure Clinton carefully vets all her "loyal supporters". I wonder if Mateen was ever invited to a fundraiser?
