How do you actually ban and enforce a prohibition on personal liberties while being effective and not resembling a tyrannical government which has not regard for personal freedoms?
By making a law an enforcing a law? Like the one against murdering six year olds with guns. Sure it may happen but that doesn't make it right. A government with such a law would have much more regard for personal freedoms.
How so? Forcing a fully cognitive and sentient being to carry an unconscious lump of cells as the end of some silly moral crusade?
I find it strange that so many Americans fight to retain the 2nd Amendment but have no qualms about overturning the 14th .. why is that?
It's all about relative politics for some people. They don't care about abortion being legal because they'll never have one. They don't care about same-sex marriage being legal because they'll never have one. They don't care about welfare because they have a closet full of bootstraps. They don't care about religious favoritism because they are religious. They don't care about reasonable gun control because they own guns and enjoy the gun culture. They don't care about universal health care because they can afford to get their own. They don't care about education because....they're not educated.
