The groundswell of world support will mean that Zionism is finished, that the nightmare of a Greater Israel is over, forever, and that a fully-recognized State of Palestine is an inevitability. 'Contribution' or your implied quid pro quo is absolutely not the issue. Irrespective of how gloriously achieving some nations are this issue is fundamentally about justice, not business deals; certainly not in the short-term anyway.

 

Seems your guy is; "I'm convinced of the cause; I would like to see a Palestinian state". But the author is quite right on another point-that of the intransigence of both parties, and the need for more moderate voices on both sides; those who are pragmatists, not ideologues. In other words leave gods out of it and the politics to normal people. Of course that will never happen, but at least you could give god a week or two off work whilst you're dealing with grown-up stuff, surely?
