That is about what I am getting....Southern cuisine is based in casseroles, which are exactly that heavy, its comfort food.

Then you really have no clue what good food is. - - - Updated - - - bull(*)(*)(*)(*), living in North Carolina, it is the norm to go to family reunions, Sunday dinners, and the likes, you have your meat, (usually some form of pork, Chicken) and 7 different kinds of casseroles to choose from. been that way for the last 17 years of my life, and then swear up and down the south has the best food in the world, I'm here to tell you they don't. Its good, but far from the best. Hash Brown casserole, green bean casserole, squash casserole, macaroni and cheese (which is cooked in casserole form), tuna casserole, etc,etc, its endless.
Not in my large extended family.. Even a squash casserole is light and simple as a symphony with NO cheese. No one would serve a green bean casserole or hash brown casserole or a tuna casserole. Yuk.
i like butter. But she does over do it. She has a lawsuit going on that as well. Just a very dishonest person.
