Well, if homosexuality is considered normal and good now, why not pedophilia? At the risk of sounding like an arse, I just don't see what the difference is. Homosexuality was once deviant behavior, but is considered to be normal and something everybody does. So why not pedophilia? Why not other sexual practices that are considered deviant now? After all, if one thing can change why not the others? Please note: I am truly not trying to be a troll or to be offensive so please don't take this as such. I am just being blunt and straightforward. While I do understand the part of adult choice, I just don't see the point of some sexual practices being deviant while others aren't. Incest? So what? What if they're two consenting adults? Why should incest be deviant and illegal if homosexuality isn't anymore? One difference between incest and homosexuality is that homosexuality was never illegal, and incest, even among consenting adults, still is. Incest is even approve of in the Bible, with the story of Lot and the destruction of Sodom and Gamorrah. After the destruction of the two cities his daughters were concerned about repopulating the planet because they thought they were the only ones left. So they got their father drunk and had sex with him in an attempt to get pregnant. I apologize if this seems offensive and upsets people, I truly am not trying to be that way on purpose. The other thing too is that social beliefs change over time. Charlie Chaplin is a good example of this. He was in his twenties when he had sex with a fifteen year old actress. People were really upset with him, not because of being a pedophile, but because he had unmarried sex. So he ended up marrying the actress. With today's standards, he would be considered a pedophile, but back then people didn't look at it that way. So I just don't get it. Rape is assault and battery so I don't support that.
during biblical times pedophilia was good and homosexuality bad, now it's the reverse.. times they do a change... how old was Mary when Jesus entered her.. how old was she when he exited her? 13? course the father may of really been a pedophile priest rather then Jesus.. we would never know... .
