It sure does...but they don't interpret it. They have their own Supreme Courts, who interpret State law. However, State law is subordinate to Federal law, so in cases of conflicts between State and Federal law, Federal law wins. The Federal SCOTUS has always decided gun laws on a case-by-case basis...which is why large urban areas (such as Los Angeles or Washington D.C. or Chicago or NYC, etc., etc.) are allowed to pass local ordnances.

She may. Personally, I think it's time the Democrats began using their majorities in both the Senate and House.

Worst speaker of the house in the history of its institution, these are clearly impeachable remarks. What's the difference between these remarks and what Trump said? None. Equally divisive, false rhetoric that attacks America.

When she was asked what she meant about "the enemy inside," she replied: "It means we have members of Congress who want to bring guns on the floor who have threatened violence on other members of Congress."

    Do you disagree with that?

Well, Nancy can be tough, but there is nothing harsher than this tweet from AOC to Insurrectionist Ted

    SNIP
On Thursday, Ms Ocasio-Cortez called for a probe in stock trading app Robinhood after the company barred its users from purchasing GameStop, AMC and Nokia stocks, among others.

Mr Cruz backed Ms Ocasio-Cortez's call for an investigation, retweeting her with the message "fully agree."

"I am happy to work with Republicans on this issue where there’s common ground, but [Mr Cruz] almost had me murdered 3 weeks ago so you can sit this one out," she said. "Happy to work w/ almost any other GOP that aren’t trying to get me killed."

It is very strange that as much as Trump was truly hated it is the beloved far left DNC members that are afraid to go to work.

Well if it wasn't for the violence and threats from Tump supporters this issue wouldn't exist.

I am not really on either side of the issue, but I definitely notice that Democrats like to use recent bad events to push their anti gun agenda. It’s normal. At the same time, I wouldn’t be surprised if they are genuinely scared after what happened.

Donald Trump rushed to ‘terror attack’ bunker as violent George Floyd riots rage near White House - YouTube
More than 50 Secret Service agents have been injured during ugly clashes outside the White House on a sixth night of violence sparked by the death of George Floyd. The attacks came after President Trump was reportedly moved to a secure bunker usually used during terror attacks as heated protests escalated across Washington D.C. Agents rushed Trump to the Presidential Emergency Operations Center as they were nervous for his safety, the New York Times reported. A senior official involved in defending Washington D.C. later told Fox News dozens of Secret Service officers were injured in clashes on Sunday night. The source also claimed some rioters were seen throwing bottles and Molotov cocktails at law enforcement officers. Others were spotted parking cars near the 'President's Palace' filled with incendiary materials for future use, Fox News reported it was told. The first amendment bans government from interfering with the press. It doesn't require it to help them.

IMHO, Nancy has shown many times over many years that SHE is a domestic enemy of the US Constitution, and she ain't the only one there in Congress.

She and they delivered the Unpatriot Act and AUMF years ago, and they are large factors in our current screwed up situation.

But thats not at the federal level as per the conversation.

Not sure why anyone lives in LA anymore. Was in CA thru the 80’s and 90’s and it was impossible to do anything then. Cant imagine what it’s like there now. CA is the most over regulated place on the planet

I've been around a while and I've seen some Congress sessions with some serious disagreements but I've never seen any of them refer to their colleagues as 'enemies' and request armed protection from them. If pushing her policies onto the American people requires armed intervention perhaps she should reexamine her policies? We are all Americans here and we are supposed to be governed by consent however reluctantly given.
