Yes, that IS the aim. God save us from those who want to perpetuate the awful hyper-race-awareness of last century.

We must all stop "knowing" what it means. Because the term is based partly on debunked Scientific hypothesis from the 19th Century and partly on pseudo-science.

Not the first time that Science debunks a popular belief. Takes time to bring them down. But people shed the obsolete as their education level increases. That's how it has always been. The more educated people knew that the Earth was round many centuries before the less educated people. Fortunately the difference today between one group and the other is not as pronounced as it used to be.

This is important because "knowing what it means " abets racism.

Why are you focused on their skin colour? Why aren't you treating them as equals?

Ask a passing alien to drop in to earth and make the call. Who is the racist? The person who does not feel obliged to adjust for the skin tone of his enemies before speaking his truth? Or the person who uses skin tone as leverage in all things?

Don't be ridiculous. If they were genuine champions of America - embracing the culture and its peoples (that INCLUDES white people, and conservatives, and Christians, and cisgender males, and deplorables, and uneducated hillbillies), neither Trump nor anyone but the most nutty old bigot would give a damn what colour they are.

Such incredibly cheap and lazy cop outs. Look at what they SAY, not their damned skin, FFS. Or is that too revealing, so you have to lean on the race card? Can't cut it on their merits, these brown women?

I see you know nothing about America. Why not find out what you type about before typing?

....but we think you are because that is all you are about. Your left wing media spoke of it over 1100 times the last few days. It is the complete Democrat agenda! Gin it up!!

Or Germany! Heck, maybe he will 'go back to Scotland' when he retires ... if he survives the Mickey Ds. At least there's a small hope of social harmony for wee bit longer (did you see what I did there? I said 'wee bit' .. all Scottish like :p ).

The Daily Stormer is an actual white supremacist website. Anything they say is suspect, just like HuffPo. And if you already knew what they were about, you would know that they spew propaganda, and you can count on that. It's not a "conspiracy", they legit believe that crap. Neither is it a conspiracy theory just because people with a certain ideology think alike (in the way the ideology dictates). There's no need for a conspiracy when the like-minded self-select when they join the "cult".

If I can remember a time when that wasn't what it meant, then no matter how old I am, that disproves "it always meant that". I'm GenX, and when I was growing up, no one was talking about "socially constructed institutions of systemic oppression". A "racist" was a Klan member on Jerry Springer, and it wasn't because he had "the system" behind him.

You are trying to substitute everyday usage with specialized jargon.

We do seem to be getting off in the weeds. So to bring it back to basics, how does "racism" (if we're going to use your obscure academic definition, which I still don't agree is the "real" definition, but whatever) relate to your original OP? Like, if you're talking about institutions and power structures and whatnot, what does that have to do with "people are not racist because they do racist things, they do racist things because they are racists"? The way the statement is framed makes sense if you're talking about individual racism (what most people would just call "racism"), but under your definition I'm just not seeing the relevance.

It does not even remotely define racism

It did not even refer to race even in an indirect manner

He clearly stated there were good people in Charlottesville on BOTH sides and yes he was correct

He told these women to go back to where they came from because of what they do and say not because of their race

You are massively failing . You are in fact misquoting misrepresenting and spinning to make your case and is a false accusation.

His tweet was not racist that is an absolute fact

Trump tweets mainly about people lying about him and his wife and his kids. Mexico is paying for the wall or rather lack there of, what do you think it's costing them to enforce their southern border? To say nothing of what it cost them to have all those extra mouths without money sitting at crossing points and having to deal with crazy narcos kidnapping children to gain entry into the US. Democrat intransigence is causing that.

BS. There are racial differences. it has nothing to do with racism. It is reality. Failure to recognize the differences results in failure to talk about it because we are afraid to talk about it.

Race and culture is not one and the same thing just to start with.

In my life time, those with black skins could not eat at some lunch counters, could not take out bank loans for some homes, could not go to some universities an on and on.

It not the result of race but of racism that had given those with black skins a somewhat different culture and outlook.

Never said it was. There are differences in race and there are differences in culture.

No doubt those are racist remarks. That is not even in question.
The came from this country, 3 of the 4. And the 4th has been a citizen since 17. He wants to stifle their free speech. I guess you are in agreement with that?
They have been elected by their peers to serve this country, just like tRUMP. So they have different messages. Has anyone told tRUMP to go back to where he came from?
Has he said that to any other people he disagrees with? NOPE. Just 4 non white women.

And Jew hating whites, basically Nazis, have good people? Good to whom? That is what white nationalists are, the modern day version of KKK or nazis. They just haven't inflicted far reaching damage to jews or other people of color. Yet. But they are getting stoked and likely more RW terrorism will result.

What have they said about him, his wife, or his kids?

The wall, tRUMP had a 3 day plan outlined on his campaign website. How they'd be directly paying for it. No need to spin. No one buys it.

Racist, Nazi, crazy, stupid, Hell His wife can't even put on a pair of heels without some leftist jackass carping about it. Some nut early on even threatened there kid.

How much of Obama's master plan did he get through congress? Most presidents do good to get more than a handful of their agenda accomplished. It is quite common for relative novices in the political realm to overestimate the power of the presidency especially with congressional opposition.

Yes, the only reason he said what he said about these congressmen is because he's just a big dumb meanie.

    That's why he does anything.

Anybody who supports him going forward will be considered racist by you. That'll stop people from voting for him..

You are proving there was no racism in his tweet

Yes I know where they are from and who they are

    Geography does not determine race

The fact that he directed such a comment at specific people does not prove racism

Calling a specific minority person stupid or anything else is just an individual insult and the race of that person proves nothing

    Same thing here

Insulting one person and not others does not prove racism

I never agree with banning anyone's freedom of speech and only progressives try to so so

Once again you have massively failed to prove racism

Facts prove beyond question that regardless of being rude or stupid it was not a racist tweet

Sorry hut that is fact which you do not get to change but dreaming up new definitions of racism which is what you are trying to do.

There were more than Nazis in charlottesville hence the accuracy of his statement
