    Of course. I've read differing versions. It will no doubt be resolved by our legal system. I don't believe that the killing of a 15 year old and a critically wounded 13 year old can be taken lightly.

    I don't think it will be taken lightly but I think all things considered the man being assaulted was in the right. I mean he was being jumped and he defended himself with the weapon he had. Unfortunately one of his attackers died.

    Im sorry but if my door is kicked in during the middle of the night then the invader is going to get shot with a 12 gauge. I'm not going to stop and try to see how old they are first...

    I agree but it almost sounds like you and others have passed judgment against him.

    Hell when I was 15 I was 6'2" @216 Lbs. Yeah a big boy and that you defend yourself against. You don't play with martial arts and fight like some have suggested. Why? You never know what the other guy knows. You put your attacker in a position where there is a point of egress. You never engage like you want a simple fight you engage like you are defending your life because you do not know the intent of your attacker. Sure take the guy down by taking out his knee; he pulls a gun and shoots you! Nope - rip his throat out and be done.

    What I haven't done is pass judgement on anyone involved, that might be the difference.

    Now that's bull(*)(*)(*)(*). Sorry that it happened to you. The hard part is not remaining a victim and living without fear again. Give it some time but you'll be okay.

    Cool. I agree that it needs to be tidy to shut down the race baiters. It would be cool if the victim were black because that preacher would change his tone.

    I just hate the fact that this was a mixed race issue. Now we get the extremes from all sides. Why can't we simply say "a MAN was assaulted by thugs". Because that wouldn't get national media coverage nor nearly as many views on a political forum. But when we say oh a WHITE man was assaulted by BLACK kids it becomes huge. Same as if it were vice versa. People love to throw race into everything.

    Bottom line is some punk kids thought it would be cool to jump somebody and they picked the wrong person to bother. They paid for it, a few of them dearly. The end. Lesson learned? Don't go around trying to assault random people for no reason.

    Punks are punks, thugs are thugs, and idiots are idiots. What race they are means absolutely nothing.

    the DeAndre's and Deshaun's of Illinois call it Polar Bear hunting for whatever reason, the DeAndre's and Deshaun's of this story live(ed) in Connecticut.

    The problem here is that "the knockout game" or "polar bear hunts" are almost entirely conducted by black youts on white victims......and it has become an epidemic since Obummer was elected.........ignoring that would be like ignoring an epidemic of whites attacking blacks all over the country for no apparent reason except for their race......I would wager that the latter story would be a national headline for weeks. Also, folks should be aware that, when they see groups of black youts, they need to take precautionary tactics.....just like you would if you were in the Serengeti and came up on a pack of hyenas....

    personally, i'd rather have it be a hate crime than just some random act of violence. hate, as (*)(*)(*)(*)ed up as it is, is still a motive. crimes w/o motive scare the hell out of me.

    I think Mike is saying that the race of the victim is not known for sure. The police have not released any victim info because of threats. The article used polar bear hunt and the parents are making a race issue out of the death of the thug.

    See I hate that. It leads to racial tension. I can just picture a future story where a group of black kids are walking and their very presence makes someone uneasy and one of the kids gets shot. This is what makes me sick about these kinds of stories and makes me want to personally beat the snot out of these little punks. They have no idea what the crap they do does to society.

    It's not in the OP. The article makes no mention of what teens in Connecticut refer to this "game" as. They could have called it "polar bear hunting" for all you know, which makes your attempts to correct me on the improper usage of the phrase seem ridiculous.
