Not necessarily pertaining to police, but I think it adds to the overall aspect of a police state in this country:

    Obama Promises Disappear from Web

    Now...back to gritty stuff.

Undercover police agent appears to plant drugs on Scotia businessman (A piece of this is highlighted to add emphasis for a reason)

THERE WAS A TIME WHEN KIDS WERE TAUGHT TO RESPECT FIREARMS, NOT FEAR THEM

Here's what happens in somewhere other than a police state, where the personages of those given a plastic badge and a government job do not have the right to violently harm mundanes or drag them off to prison for daring to question them.

This is Mexico, of all places. Corruption abounds, but cops still have little power. In the US, the man would have been facing about 30 different charges, all felonies.

Judge suspends Indianapolis Metro Police Officer David Bisard's driver's license

So, he kills a motorcyclist in his first DUI, and he's still allow to remain a part of an organized, armed and dangerous street gang. Now he's "embattled", like the world is just against the poor guy. It's a good example of how the mainstream media adores government officials

I believe we really do need "perjury against the People" laws as a civil privilege and immunity. Article 4, Section 2 is a rational choice of law in any conflict of laws, in the US.

It won't be such much of a war when they begin to confiscate guns. Not to mention Concord, NH looking to buy a military-style armored vehicle to protect themselves against "Free-Staters".

If Concord, New Hampshire sees rioting, then the whole country is screwed. The police forces will need tanks for to protect themselves from a crumbling middle class and if it gets to that point, it's doubtful that they'll stay on the job in the face of having no paycheck and their pensions ruined.

I agree. I think this is just a continuing effort to dismantle the 'Free State Project' from continuing to change New Hampshire around for the better. They don't even understand the concepts but believe it's going to destroy this country.

Funny to me that someone would even say libertarianism has/will destroy this country, as if this country is solid as a rock right now. Only in America do the citizens cheer a police state. I guess most haven't watched the news in Egypt & Syria, or maybe even thought about life conditions in North Korea.

Then again, some people are into BDSM.

What other programs are being funded at taxpayer expense, but that can be profited from by any private sector and persons who have enough money to make more money, with any given transaction and as a rational choice under that theory; that exist as markets only due to public sector intervention in those markets. Our War on Drugs is a prime example, especially during times of budget shortfalls.

I also believe that the general government of the Union must be denied and disparaged in any assumption of authority that is not specifically delegated to our federal Congress under our Constitutional and republican form of limited Government.

Detroit police officer shoots seven-year-old girl to death

    8:56 AM, May 17, 2010

Aiyana's grandmother, Mertilla Jones, left, cries as Dominika Stanley and Charles Jones, mother and father of Aiyana Jones, far right, quietly pray during a vigil Sunday night. Police say Aiyana was shot when Mertilla Jones and a Detroit officer tussled during a raid seeking the suspect in a teenager's death.

    FREE PRESS STAFF WRITERS
With toys strewn on the lawn outside a three-story house on Lillibridge, neighbors and family gathered in disbelief, wondering: How could Detroit police, storming the house to arrest a murder suspect Sunday morning, end up killing 7-year-old Aiyana Jones?
"I seen the light go out of her eyes," her grandmother, Mertilla Jones, 47, wailed outside the home Sunday afternoon after being released from police custody.
Jones was in the living room with Aiyana about 12:40 a.m. when a flash went off and a loud noise was heard.
    Police rushed in, guns drawn.
Assistant Chief Ralph Godbee said Jones got into a tussle with the first officer in, causing his gun to go off.
A bullet pierced Aiyana's head and neck. Police are investigating the incident, and Chief Warren Evans is said to be cutting short an out-of-country vacation to return to Detroit today. Jones was too distraught to comment to the Free Press about what happened.
"This is any parent's worst nightmare," Godbee said in a statement Sunday. "It also is any police officer's worst nightmare. ... No words can do anything to take away the pain."
The incident came after a two-week spate of high-profile shootings in the city -- starting with the gunning down of Detroit Police Officer Brian Huff on May 3.
Police got the suspect they came for on Sunday, but the arrest leaves a lingering question for investigators, Aiyana's family and members of the community who gathered throughout the day and at a vigil Sunday night:
    What happened?
    Anger, blame follow death
Squatting on the stoop outside his Detroit home Sunday afternoon, the father of the 7-year-old girl killed by police earlier that day gazed at photos of his only daughter at her sixth birthday party.
"She had a lively, free spirit," Charles Jones murmured.
He then bent over, burying his face in his hands as he wept.
The scene outside Aiyanas' home was a mixture of shock.............

A good reason to get things on tape. This kid was kind of stupid. It's one thing to mess with a bully on the playground who has no government-granted authority, it's another to mess with a tax-fattened, donut-munching bully who has the "law" on his side.

Oh good grief folks, cops are just like everyone else, some are bad and most are good men and women, they are a cross-section of Americans. Punish those that abuse their power but keep the accusations and whining rational. I doubt most here would hesitate for a second to call them for help if they needed it and guess what they will be there for you. You should be proud there are Americans willing to put their arse on the line to help keep the citizens safe, next time you see one in a store or resturant or wherever why not go up to them and tell them Thanks, the vast majority of them deserve it. Enough said.
