Which is why we should protect against voter fraud which can disfranchise thousands by swaying an election.

That wasn't "election tampering", that was campaign dirty tricks.

    There was no fraud.

    Get your facts straight.

And typical leftest attempt to dismiss it with hyperbole. It's doesn't have to be widespread to effect an election.

It's real simple, provide normal everyday identification, as I did checking into a motel twice this week and protect EVERYONE's vote.

Out of the 197 million votes cast for federal candidates between 2002 and 2005, only 40 voters were indicted for voter fraud, according to a Department of Justice study outlined during a 2006 Congressional hearing. Only 26 of those cases, or about .00000013 percent of the votes cast, resulted in convictions or guilty pleas.

Specious, voter fraud is done selectively to sway precincts which can then sway, in the case of a Presidential election, the selection of electors. NOT the total nationwide vote. Sway a couple of precincts and you can turn an election. Pick some close ones and there you go.

AND you have to catch it first. How do you prevent people from voting several times under other names if you don't have voter ID let alone determine it afterwards?
