This is interesting, as public opinion researchers conduct analyses with the underlying assumption that respondents are truthful. Without this assumption being granted, the science is useless and therefore public opinion data is useless.

I would be interested in understanding why you don't give your real beliefs because I have recently been told the same thing by another person. When we look at data, qualitative analysis usually sheds light on items wherein the respondent, out of some perception of social desirability, may withhold certain beliefs; they hate abortion but they'll respond in favor of it (especially in FTF interviews), for example. We can determine how well the respondent fits a model for pro-life beliefs and evaluate from there when gauging truthfulness, but never in my years have I spoken to people who purposefully lie to pollsters as a sort of recreation like I am in 2020.

 

No the wasn't. It was southern Democrats who voted against Civil Rights. The only one who changed from the Democrat to Republican Party was Joe Biden's good buddy, Strom Thurmond.

However, it does appear a switch in voter loyalty may be happening today. Biden/Harris are picking up white elite suburban voters while Trump is picking up working class voters, including blacks and Hispanics. So all the privileged elites are going back home to the racist Democrat Party. Trump has transformed the GOP into the Party of the People.

Even if Biden and his establishment globalist oligarchs win, Trump has started a movement for workers, jobs and prosperity in America. We just have to unseat the rest of the RINO's.

Both my parents were lifelong Democrats. I don't think they ever followed politics closely, or how much the party changed over the years. They just voted out of habit. Can't really blame a low information voter for not really keeping up with creeping political platform changes over time.

All Polling Service's reputations are on the line.

But, even to an unbiased observer, if 9 polls say one thing (and one outlier says another) the default assumption is to believe the polls that are in agreement that Biden Will Win.
