Not only Trump feeling alright coming out with obvious racism the US now has Pompeo talking about the need to look at human rights. There is great concern on the direction he intends on moving them

    https://therealnews.com/stories/pom...onservative-christian-assault-on-human-rights

What do people think? Many people think this is the US Government trying to get rid of Internationally accepted Human Rights of the last 60 years or so in order to move towards an authoritarian state/fascism ...and before the 2020 election it would appear.. I have read fascism comes in very quickly.

Fascism is already here, and has been for a number of years already.

Here is a Webster's definition: A philosophy or governmental system marked by stringent socioeconomic control, a strong central government usually headed by a dictator, and often belligerently nationalistic policy.

Pompeo has only made things worse for this country.

Interesting definition. I would have said you were a plutocracy moving ever more to the right and certainly with the Trump admin showing signs of fascism. I know one Political Theorist, John Keane has made the suggestion that the West for some time has possibly been living under a new form of despotism. I see the particular ways in which this Government works as being specifically fascist. It does not look at problems which need to be solved but puts a face on them, makes them the other. That has been sold to those without as the reason for their problems and they as I see here have clearly accepted it. We have children taken from their parents and put in cages, sometimes I am told having had to drink out of toilets to get water. No even semi humanitarian country would have that. Your president feels able to openly be racist against 4 of your female members of Congress....and that is allowed. Now they are working on taking away human rights...and if you see both my links this is not just moving into fascism but Christian Right fascism...in that I suspect they use Trump to articulate and take responsibility for what they want to put in order. I understand you are now engaged in mass deportations, though I heard they had been going slower than expected. Yes, you are right in that you are all but fascist already. The groundwork has been laid. Other aspects of fascism are getting the people not to like facts and experts and everything being done on emotion and we certainly have that going on by Trump's supporters....
but at base I think the problem is Corporate Power unleashed by neoliberalism and there is not one hope in hell that this is going to make life better for Trump's supporters. Neo liberalism and technology and Corporate Power with an authoritarian Regime and I suspect most American's are going to be little better than slaves. As we have said before the Democrats do not offer away out either apart form the 4 ladies he was trying to quiet and scare with his racism which results in the death threats they get from his supporters. One good thing I notice he has not managed to quiet their spirits at all. That said, the future is looking very grim for the US and once you lose your rights, I think it is over. Of course this could all swing the other way and I hear the majority of Americans are of that disposition so lets just hope it has not been left too late.

Pompeo's Commission on Unalienable Rights is exactly what the world needs. The Trump Administration is showing the kind of leadership the world needs right now. The UN's Human Rights Commission is a joke, you merely have to look at the Members list to grasp how desperately we need precisely what Pompeo is doing. Many of these countries are some of the worst Human Rights offenders the world have ever seen yet they sit on the UNHRC... the hypocrisy is breathtaking.

I find this line rather amusing
if you haven't clued in to the fact that the Trump Administration knows exactly what they are doing then there is no hope for you. It is in fact the Democrats that are stumbling around trying to find their footing... along with the rest of the world it seems. Just because he's not doing things your way, doesn't mean there are no goals and objectives, just the contrary, you just haven't figured it out yet.

Mussolini claimed that another name for fascism is corporatism. He's pretty close there IMO.

That's a lot fear expressed for the fundamental principal the political structure of America was built upon, Individual Rights, which are the only rights that each human being has.

Human rights are fraud perpetuated by power lusters to buy the votes of masses with the stolen wealth of the creators. It's purpose is to destroy the only principle that provides a defense for the productive and creative against the looters and moochers, the principle of Individual Rights.

Unfathomable. But it never hurts to be wrong--its an opportunity to learn. However, if your argument is that the needs of humanity justify putting the "one" on a cross, then your not the clever fox you claim to be.

Do you know what happens when the "rights of one" are sacrificed to the "needs of the many"? There's blood to clean up.

And as a human, just what rights do you have? The right to live your own life? The right to think your own thoughts? The right to keep what you earn? The right to trade with others? The right to speak your mind? The right not to wear chains? The right to choose who you associate with? The right to discriminate against that which you abhor in favor of that which you adore? Just what are your human rights, Human?

Are you not a human? Odd that. Im a big fan of the bill of rights for starters. You started off saying human rights are a scam then twaddled off about about the rights of one outweighing the many as it also seems like you agree such a concept tends to not be good. Then you ask me about which ones i think i have. You could be a bit less all over the place.

So, what are your human rights, and how do they differ from the concept of Individual Rights. What Rights do you as a human have, that I as an Individual don’t?

Ayn Rand: “There is no such thing as “a right to a job”—there is only the right of free trade, that is: a man’s right to take a job if another man chooses to hire him. There is no “right to a home,” only the right of free trade: the right to build a home or to buy it. There are no “rights to a ‘fair’ wage or a ‘fair’ price” if no one chooses to pay it, to hire a man or to buy his product. There are no “rights of consumers” to milk, shoes, movies or champagne if no producers choose to manufacture such items (there is only the right to manufacture them oneself). There are no “rights” of special groups, there are no “rights of farmers, of workers, of businessmen, of employees, of employers, of the old, of the young, of the unborn.” There are only the Rights of Man—rights possessed by every individual man and by all men as individuals”http://aynrandlexicon.com/lexicon/individual_rights.html

Are you a human or are you not? Individual rights are human rights. Ayn Rand doesnt understand the concept of human rights.

Human rights is a humanity demanding to be feed, clothed, housed, and cared for by using the government’s gun to rob their betters. Individual Rights is the productive and the creative telling the world: “My life is mine. Get the hell out of my way.

See without a government to adjudicate property disputes, you dont even have property rights. The government is not robbing their betters, the ayn rand ubermenschen is a myth. Dumpster Donnie inherited much of his wealth through lucky chance of birth then went on to create fraudulent universities and bankrupted 6 companies. Now he merely exists on licensing fees which required no work of his own. His employees do the daily toil for him. Without workers, dumpster donnie would be nothing. The bill of rights in the US constitution are human rights.

So sad, so superficial, so besides the point ...so normal for what passes as political science today.

When the human psyche grasps that “justice for all” means “justice for none”, humanity will take a giant step forward toward a world without cancer, without poverty, without violence, without crime. and without war.

A world of riches beyond belief, a world filled with wonders, inventions, and machines that haven’t even been dreamt of yet. A world where the inventive, the productive, and the creative can live free and prosperous without kissing the asses of humanity—the masses of zeroes breathing air with no idea of why. A world deserving of John Galt.

Ayn Rand: “The greatest good for the greatest number” is one of the most vicious slogans ever foisted on humanity.

This slogan has no concrete, specific meaning. There is no way to interpret it benevolently, but a great many ways in which it can be used to justify the most vicious actions.

What is the definition of “the good” in this slogan? None, except: whatever is good for the greatest number. Who, in any particular issue, decides what is good for the greatest number? Why, the greatest number.

If you consider this moral, you would have to approve of the following examples, which are exact applications of this slogan in practice: fifty-one percent of humanity enslaving the other forty-nine; nine hungry cannibals eating the tenth one; a lynching mob murdering a man whom they consider dangerous to the community.

There were seventy million Germans in Germany and six hundred thousand Jews. The greatest number (the Germans) supported the Nazi government which told them that their greatest good would be served by exterminating the smaller number (the Jews) and grabbing their property. This was the horror achieved in practice by a vicious slogan accepted in theory.

But, you might say, the majority in all these examples did not achieve any real good for itself either? No. It didn’t. Because “the good” is not determined by counting numbers and is not achieved by the sacrifice of anyone to anyone.”

There is no actual evidence of this being true at all. Quoting Rand is not an argument. The nazis were also capitalists.
