Concrete belief? Hmm. Prease rephrase for clarity.

"Adam and Eve" as the first two human beings.. you need it explained
that this story simply is not so?

Six day poof..do you think that actually happened?

As for "hell", who knows? Seem unlikely, but no way to test for it.

Every "Christian" has a different sense of their religion. Lo here, and lo there. Accusing eachother of being cultists and not True Christians.
You guys dont understand it, how is anyone else to?

I'm not being snarky at all. But I guess you enjoy making fun of people who understand a simple concept like spirituality while you are in the dark. I guess the joke is on you.

Which people are those? I can't seem to convince people that the abomination of hypocrisy is worse than a crack addiction.

Pretending you were not being snarky is disingenuous at best, but go with it, the spreading of falsehoods seems to be your thing, for whatever reason.

Now as for "understanding spirituality', please, you explain just what it is, if you find it so simple.

That is, tho, totally off topic, I said that events like the flood and 6 day poof are fiction, which they are. To believe that there really-really was a world wide flood is simple minded and gullible
    in the extreme.

But you seem to call that "spiritual"? Like, it is "spiritual' to believe there really was a flood?

You actually do think that there was a world wide flood? Like they did in the dark ages? :D

How about the vice of constantly spreading falsehoods in the name of a god they claim to
worship? Oh yeah, that does go under the heading of "hypocrisy".

is it wrong to advocate for morals tests instead of drug tests of a for profit basis under any form of capitalism?

Really, how does science know if Adam and Eve lived?

It must drive you nuts that Christianity is estimated to grow 50% between 2000 and 2050.

Let me put it this way; I bet that the next time the cardinals get together to vote one of their own into the papacy they will create a rule barring strong drink and heavy drug use during the debate and voting process. What did they expect when the put a South American Marxist on the throne? Still . . . it is funny as -- well -- funny as hell. :buggered:

Genetics. We ARE all descended from one woman, who lived roughly 200,000 (not 6,000) years ago, but not from the same man, at least not in the same time. It's indisputable science. To argue against it is the intellectual equivalent of arguing that 2+2 does not equal 4.

Certainly not in first world countries. Backwoods places were y'all can sell your snake oil, perhaps, but intelligent people know better.

I didn't say how long ago they lived.

Yes, that first woman was Eve. Who evolved first, the man or woman?

I'll allow it is fading in the dying West, loaded with overeducated intelligent people with the common sense of a gnat. Are China and South Korea 'backwoods places'?

No. But your silly book did. You saying it's wrong?

Um. "Mitochondrial Eve", from which we are all descended was not the first woman. Just out of pure random chance, all bloodlines lead back to her. But not her "husband", assuming she had one as we currently understand the concept. We are NOT all descended from the same man. Google is your friend.

On, and your silly book says man came first.

Outside of some major cities, yes.

It is not possible for only 2 people a man and woman to have the Genetic Diversity to breed beyond a few generations before due to inbreeding and subsequent occurring genetic abnormalities their prodigy will become sterile.

Yes, but this might be misleading. It's not random chance that there WAS a single women from whom all humans descended, it's only random who that woman was. Same with the individual man whose descendents we all are. That these individuals had to exist is a matter of statistics more than genetics.

None of this, of course, has any conceivable relationship with any of the thousands of creation myths that people have invented.

LOL! You know even less about the bible than I thought. I doubt I could have you up to speed in just one thread. I would have to start with definitions of words......

Adam did exist, but not in the way the bible says. Adam is comes from the word Addamu, which is Sumerian for "First Men". It was a hybrid race of created from genetically engineering and splicing the DNA of Homo Neaderthalensis (Neanderthal)

This hybrid race was created to be a slave race while their alien overlords mined the planet for gold. The aliens had several colonies on earth. Fabled "Lost Cities", such as Atlantis, along with their technology, are believed by some to have been bases or cities built by them on earth, and destroyed when they left to keep humans from finding them.

Some of even suggest that their shared DNA allowed human-alien interbreeding, which gave birth to a race of half-alien/half-humans, and this is where legends of Demi-Gods and other human-divine hybrids come from.

Many believe the aliens to be taller than humans, about 7 to 9 feet tall. The humans average height comes from the fact that they have DNA from these very tall aliens mixed with the DNA from their much shorter Neanderthal cousins.

You'd have to start by saying what you mean by it, which you are unwilling or unable to do.

You would have to start by asking real and straight forward questions instead of pretending.

They are the first two human beings who were able to reason. Since Eve came from Adam's rib, I guess she was a clone. :confuse:

A day in Creation would not be the same as it is today, It could have been fifty million years, or a hundred million years. If the correct time was stated in the Bible nobody would have been able to understand it, so they called it a 'day'. A Jewish scientist did calculate in a book that the sequence of Creation is exactly as we know it, and that each 'day' equaled the other 'days' in length. Pretty smart for whoever wrote the Bible to know that don't you think?

Hell is an existence away from God and without hope. Imagine being without hope...forever and ever? Anyway that is hell in Christianity. The tendency the Latin Church had of placing boundaries around everything and making them places, is part of their language and culture. Very structural, and continues in the Western Churches today regardless of denomination.

The differences are all semantics and you can blame the Tower of Babel for that. :oldman:

in other words, dead. but that ain't good enough for special snowflakes, is it. nothing less than immortality will suffice.

doesn't such overt pridefulness clash with your 'deadly sins' list, Jeanette?

I think those with deformities would have died off, or would have been undesirable in some way. I know that people married within their own towns in Europe and within their own extended family for centuries on end. Every now and then an outsider would come in an infuse a little new blood into them, but it was not common.

We look at the harm of genetic abnormalities in inbreeding, but there is a flip side, and that would be the talents and abilities which developed from inbreeding. It's probably the inbreeding over the milleniums of isolated groups which led to the diversity in appearances of different ethnic and racial groups as well. Anyway this is how I see it.
