The mayor of Portland is obviously not doing a good job at all with the rioters. IMO though, I think it's now paid rioting going on. Both sides now are creating chaos.

But the mayor may be referring to what you stated in a previous post about taking sides. And does not want help like that?

Of course it is paid rioting! This is what happens when the sledgehammer isn't brought down on these criminals. Examples need to be made of the rioters. Long harsh prison sentences, extreme fines. <Mod Edit>

 

Which ones? Did you read the article? If so, why are you not equally condemning the white nationalist groups? Do you think they're the good guys?

IMO, violence done in the name of ideology is abhorrent, no matter who does it. The people who celebrated a mans death are disgusting. The white supremacist groups with nothing better to do than to create chaos that often leads to violence are disgusting.

There are not enough details about the shooting to pass judgment in either direction.

 

Perhaps the leader of the country should address the issues publicly. Instead of pointing fingers, work towards a solution.

 

Okay, I don't usually reply with whataboutisms, but would you prefer police like those in Kenosha, WI who recently ignored a guy walking down the middle of the street strapped with an AR-15 who had just killed two people? Even if they didn't know that, why did they ignore such a heavily armed person? If he'd been black, his life would have ended right then and there, and I think we all know that. Where was their heavy hammer?

 

What an idiot. They don't want help controlling the riots, they want financial resources (even though they've proven themselves unqualified to manage their state) and COVID stuff?? (What in the hell do COVID supplies have to do with the riots??) These people literally should not have even ONE vote when they run for reelection.

Do we know the shooter in Portland was white? To my knowledge, no one has been arrested. We don't even know who the victim was.

The victim has been widely identified. He was reportedly a vet with a TBI who felt his religion prevented him from taking his meds. Sad case of mental illness and falling in with the wrong crowd.

The reddit crowd appears to have focused in on one guy as the shooter, but I am not sure if the white shirt guy in the video is the shooter, much less it be the guy they are pointing to.

Hard to tell much by that. Like, who fired the gun? I could hear the words shouted, but couldn't make out who was shouting. I didn't see any guns. Is there more wher this came from?

I do believe the Mayor is incompetent.

The county is taking on the character of the leadership in the country.
All organizations take on the character of the leadership. Be it a team, an organization, a business, a gov't.

The situation in the USA is the result of trumps character and leadership.

There's big incompetence in the country at present.
Things just don't magically disappear.
Someone in charge needs to be responsible. Not claim in an interview to not accept responsibility.

Incorrect, the situation in the USA is the result of democrats constant irrational attacks on Trump and his supporters. YOu can only liken someone to a Nazi before violence breaks out. You can only support terrorist groups like blm and antifa before they are emboldened.

Trump positioning a message is basic politics. If said violence and mayhem didn't exist he wouldn't be able to use that message. Now, who's really responsible for this murder? The man who pulled the trigger. Now, a history lesson for the Antifa crowd: A certain dude with a mustache ordered his political opponents to be murdered in the night of long knives.
