    There are countless ways to die. I would rather get shot with a well placed bullet than die from most of the other ways that people die from.

    Banning the mouthpiece of the gun manufacturers (who pay the NRA millions in order to promote their wretched products), would go some way toward addressing your appalling rates of gun-related violence. I don't understand how Americans can be so blase and accepting of 30,000 needless deaths a year as if it were just a small percentage to pay for this illusion you call 'freedom'. Instead you champion guns as if they were some sort of talisman.
    Are we who have strict gun laws in place, and who have seen gun crimes drastically reduced as a result, the stupid ones, or is it America?

    We dont have 30k "needless" deaths a year. Ban the NRA and the 2nd Amendment still exists...

    Repeal the 2nd Amendment then. Men wrote it, men can repeal it. You might have a place in the 21st century then, rather than appearing like a 19th century throwback to the rest of the world.

    Liberals always seem to have subjective outrage when it comes shootings. Black people can shoot each other all day long and they don't care. Don't care when a cop gets shot either. Doesn't matte did he was a family man. It truly doesn't matter. Whooo boy when a white person is the shooter though. Doesn't matter how low the scum is who actually get shot. Gang member who's probably killed plenty of others? Makes no difference. If there are political points to gain they're all over it. Hard to believe they actually have empathy. Real empathy.

    Eventually we just stop letting people out of the house. The tool is not the issue -- it is SOLELY the behavior of the individual that is the deciding factor in the outcome of any act.

    No, because the initial story (which seems to have turned out to be false) was that he was shot in the back while running away.

    Now even though it has turned out not to be the case simply because it has been said once there are people who will never stop believing it. You republicans have some experience with that I Benghazi? I mean I believe?

    I believe you are confusing defence of the state with your interpretation of the Amendment. Of course if you can demonstrate that the armed population of America even remotely resembles a well-regulated militia, in any way whatsoever, I'll be happy to concede. A hopelessly disorganised, untrained and undisciplined rabble is probably closest to the reality.

    why are you guys arguing second amendment? Even when the democrats controlled the Senate and the House they did not pass any gun related legislation to put on Obama's desk. What do you think the chances are now that any will make it through the GOP congress. This is butchering a old saying my Dad had but are you just typing to hear your keyboard click?
