Most of you have heard of Pastor David Wilkerson who wrote the book "The Cross and The Switchblade." In 1973 he had a powerful vision of the future and in it he wrote the following:

"There will be a sudden rush to buy farms, ranches, and homes in the country.
Thousands will attempt to flee from cities, hoping that a return to the land and
nature will provide security. There will be a growing urge to "get away from it
all"---and much money will be invested in land and acreage in rural areas by
people who have secret dreams of raising their own food and cattle and of
becoming self-supporting. The price of open rural land will continue to soar.
Acreage within 100 miles of most major cities will skyrocket out of reach to

Under the present economic conditions this move away from big cities to more rural America is not really possible so......... is it possible that President Trump might wish to coopt some aspects of the Andrew Yang platform in order to make this happen? Financing a Basic Minimum Income in the way that President Abraham Lincoln and President John F. Kennedy did would NOT be socialism at all but instead would be a way to begin to pay off the national debt of the USA!

I took two and a half years of economics at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish. Although I did not finish my degree in Business Administration at least I knew enough about the topic to be kind of shocked when I found out that President Abraham Lincoln had saved AMERICAN TAXPAYERS FOUR BILLION DOLLARS IN INTEREST PAYMENTS!

I believe that President Trump has been out to improve the USA banking system since 1991 and he needs all of us to pray and intercede for him unlike ever before because the possibility of coopting some aspects of the Andrew Yang platform may be the best possible way to deal with the SEVEN HUNDRED AND TEN TRILLION DOLLAR DERIVATIVES MARKET that seems unstable. I have heard Derivatives described as poker chips that the mega-wealthy use to play the markets with much as gamblers play various games in Vegas.

Please read this one article so that President Trump's supporters are more well informed about his options because he is in a position right now to shift the USA and world economy away from being one where only one hundred families benefit from central banking policies.

Melvin Sickler: "Abraham Lincoln

During the Civil War (1861-1865), President Lincoln needed money to finance the War from the North. The Bankers were going to charge him 24% to 36% interest. Lincoln was horrified and went away greatly distressed, for he was a man of principle and would not think of plunging his beloved country into a debt that the country would find impossible to pay back.

Eventually President Lincoln was advised to get Congress to pass a law authorizing the printing of full legal tender Treasury notes to pay for the War effort. Lincoln recognized the great benefits of this issue. At one point he wrote:

“... (we) gave the people of this Republic the greatest blessing they have ever had – their own paper money to pay their own debts...”

The Treasury notes were printed with green ink on the back, so the people called them “Greenbacks”.

Lincoln printed 400 million dollars worth of Greenbacks (the exact amount being $449,338,902), money that he delegated to be created, a debt-free and interest-free money to finance the War. It served as legal tender for all debts, public and private. He printed it, paid it to the soldiers, to the U.S. Civil Service employees, and bought supplies for war.

Shortly after that happened, “The London Times” printed the following: “If that mischievous financial policy, which had its origin in the North American Republic, should become indurated down to a fixture, then that Government will furnish its own money without cost. It will pay off debts and be without a debt. It will have all the money necessary to carry on its commerce. It will become prosperous beyond precedent in the history of the civilized governments of the world. The brains and the wealth of all countries will go to North America. That government must be destroyed, or it will destroy every monarchy on the globe.”

The Bankers obviously understood. The only thing, I repeat, the only thing that is a threat to their power is sovereign governments printing interest-free and debt-free paper money. They know it would break the power of the international Bankers.

"Artistic value" that can potentially be transformed into Economic value.

An event in the life of President Trump may have prepared him uniquely to deal with options that he has in terms of how to pay off the national debt of the USA.

Five hundred dollars per Canadian per month, can this work?

I am advocating the usage of the Bank of Canada that is owned by all Canadians to finance giving five hundred dollars per month to all thirty seven million Canadians.

It will of course mean much more to poorer Canadians than to millionaires........
but it could be surprising how many stay at home wives with cheap and stingy millionaire husbands who control the purse strings of the home may find this extra five hundred very helpful indeed.

I suspect that well over eighty percent of of Canadians will spend this money reasonably well and:
1. enrol their kids in more after school programs.....
2. begin to purchase a higher percentage of organic produce vs the cheap GMO stuff
3. purchase a newer car, SUV or half ton truck
4. do renovations to their homes
5. hire landscapers to do certain projects on their properties
6. pay down their debt loads, especially the higher interest ones
7. buy a new home rather than renting
8. buy a cottage outside the city so that they can get away for weekends
9. many will choose to move to rural Canada in order to escape relatively hectic city life
10. eat at nice restaurants more often

11. I also believe that a significant percentage of Canadian women who would have chosen to have an abortion under the present economic situation will CHOOSE to keep their babies as opposed to having an abortion!

I suspect that less than ten percent of Canadians will attempt to live off this five hundred dollars / month and simply use it to drink or smoke more.
To whatever degree this happens the worst cases where these Canadians put themselves and others in danger this can be dealt with by issuing food stamps vs a monthly check.

The mega-wealthy want the average person running on a treadmill of debt
and they convinced Canada's Prime Minister Pierre E. Trudeau back in 1974
to make a terrible decision that caused the national debt of Canada to spiral out of
control.

This set the stage for the same thing to be organized in the USA. If Canada had
continued with the brilliant Bank of Canada policy that we had used from 1938 to 1974 it
would have been impossible to cause the national debt of the USA to surge so........
Canada's brilliant system had to be stopped or Americans would compare their situation with
our and the error would have been obvious.

Can we learn about the Washington Swamp from the Ottawa Swamp?

After Prime Minister Pierre E. Trudeau's colossal error in 1974 the national debt of Canada spiralled out of control.

There are options around this but one of the most effective might well be a
Basic Minimum Income paid to all three hundred and thirty million Americans
of perhaps five hundred dollars per month, (I do think that the Andrew Yang suggestion
of a thousand dollars per month is too high)....... and if this is paid to all Americans
as a taxable income supplement........
and if it is created in the same way as the President Lincoln Greenback monetary experiment....
at essentially zero INTEREST costs to American taxpayers.... then.....
as that money turns over and over again the government will receive it back in taxes and the national debt of the USA could theoretically be paid off.

The national debts of Canada and the USA are policies that political leaders have been
pressured into adopting but there are better ways that our economy could be financed.

For many years I have been wondering what in the world may have been on the mind of
then Prime Minister Pierre E. Trudeau back in 1974 when he stopped the usage of the
Bank of Canada to finance a significant percentage of the money supply of Canada.

I was told that he was convinced to do this at the urgings of an official or officials from
The Bank of International Settlements.

The Bank of Canada has failed in its duty

“Why isn't the same thing happening today? Why was a much larger national debt shrugged off in 1945, while today's much smaller debt (as a percentage of GDP) is being used as an excuse to let the economy stagnate?

“The answer can be found at the Bank of Canada. During the war, and for 30 years afterward, the government could borrow what it needed at low rates of interest, because the government's own bank produced up to half of all the new money. That forced the private banks to keep their interest rates low, too.

“Since the mid-1970s, however, the Bank of Canada, with government consent, has been creating less and less of the new money, while letting the private banks create more and more. Today «our» bank creates a mere 2% of each year's new money supply, while allowing the private banks to gouge the government — and of course you and me, as well — with outrageously high interest rates. And it is these extortionate interest charges that are the principal cause of the rapid escalation of the national debt. If the federal government were paying interest at the average levels that prevailed from the 1930s to the mid-1970s, it would now be running an operating surplus of about $13 billion!”

The updated version (January, 1996) of the pamphlet expresses the same ideas:

“The Bank of Canada was established in 1935 by an Act of Parliament. In its legislative mandate, it is directed to promote economic growth and employment, as well as preserving the value of the Canadian dollar.

“Shortly after the Bank opened its doors, it was faced with the bankruptcy of provincial governments due to the Depression. Interpreting its mandate widely, as it is supposed to do, it made precedent-setting loans to restore the finances of Manitoba. Generous loans to other provinces followed.

“World War II found Canada ready and determined to act in the Allied cause. The war effort of the federal government was financed through enormous deficits and very low interest rates brought about by the Bank of Canada. At war's end, the national debt stood at about 120% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), nearly double the level of today. Yet Canada went on to enjoy the greatest period of economic growth in its history...

“(Now) the Bank of Canada has decided that any government spending not financed by taxation is inflationary, so it no longer extends credit to the government by holding bonds and Treasury bills. Its small holdings of government debt are confined to the banknotes needed by the economy for currency in circulation...” (End of 1996 updated version's excerpts.)

Interest rates and inflation

“Thousands of years of sad experience with the concentration of wealth and debt slavery caused all the ancient books of wisdom — including the Bible and the Koran — to condemn the charging of immoderate rates of interest.(...) The conventional wisdom, however, is that inflation is the greatest threat to the economy and must be restrained by raising interest rates. This flies in the face of the common-sense observation that rising prices (inflation) are caused by rising costs, and that interest rates are costs. So raising them will raise prices, not lower them.

“Also raised by this policy, of course, is the income of the money-lenders, which explains why they subscribe so fervently to the perverse doctrine that high interest rates are somehow anti-inflationary. Certainly the world's bankers and other money-lenders have gained much from the nonsensical notion that, while giving workers a big raise is inflationary, giving money-lenders a big raise is not.

“Many economists rail against «wage push», and it's true that wages have risen by 2,700% over the past 50 years. But in the same period government tax revenue went up by 3,400%, and net interest by 26,000%! Yet, most of the economic textbooks that deplore rising wages don't even mention the tax and interest pushes. And it is not because they are complex ideas — rather, they are simple and obvious — but because it would be so embarrassing for economists to admit they've made a boner of such magnitude: that their theory of monetary policy violates basic principles of scientific logic."

“There is no reason why the growth of Canada's money supply (averaging about $22 billion annually in recent years) could not be more substantially created by the Bank of Canada. If that policy had been followed, the federal government would not have been obliged to add to its debts to pay interest on old debts. Instead, the Bank of Canada has produced barely 2% of the money added in recent years, while the chartered banks added the rest as they made loans to households, businesses, and all levels of government. At the very least, the Bank of Canada and the chartered banks should share the privilege of creating money on a 50-50 basis.

Malthusianism

Malthusianism is the idea that population growth is potentially exponential while the growth of the food supply is linear.
