So you want a leader that sticks to his first ideas no matter what? How does that even make sense?

Oh, forget it. This is about finding something to attack him with, not common sense.

Another one that would have steered the titanic directly into an iceberg because that was the original plan.

When somebody elects somebody for a specific purpose, and that person changes their tune within the first year of being President, then its pretty fair to criticize that person as a political animal.

Yeah, because its not like flip-flopping has FOR EV ER been a negative attack on a politician during political campaigns, and there certainly couldn't be any reason for it, huh?

It's not like all the dems that were for the war before they were against it. He said very clearly what his initial ideas were and that with more research and advice he changed his outlook. How in the world is that a bad thing?

You can not agree with it and want to just cut out losses and leave Afghanistan to become a haven for terrorists again. I respect that and in many ways I agree. At the same time, we know for a fact that it will become a safe place for terrorists to train and plan again.

    Obviously.

He didn't go anywhere near far enough in repudiating his remarks of last Tuesday.

He needed to make an ABJECT apology.

Instead he read half-hearted remarks (obviously written for him) that "generally" addressed the "hate" issue (without issuing the needed abject apology).

    At least Trump can read.

If he sticks to a prompter 24/7 and stays off of Twitter he might keep his detractors at bay for a day or two.

Epic FAIL on addressing the Racist/Hate controversy.

Common sense is the one thing Trump lacks. It shows through his many stupid Tweets sitting from the comfort of his home. Now....he is just a Neocon's puppet out to do their bidding.

Afghanistan will never be able to stand on their own. You will see in 4 years time after many more deaths to our soldiers that now is the time we should LEAVE.

And here is another one that would purposefully run the titanic into the ice just to stay on message. New info is not worth considering.

You are probably right. Either we will end up back there after another massive attack or we will never leave. It's really come down to which one we choose is the greater risk.

There are no new info. It have been the same except dumbo Trump, in an effort to get votes, criticized Obama, and his base cheers. Now his base is doing verbal gymnastics to make excuses for the fool. This is the same fool that deride the intelligence agencies.

    See my signature line...

The MSM, Congress and then, accordingly, the uneducated masses all supported the intelligence community's "RUSSIA! RUSSIA! OMG EVIL RUSSIA!" 24/7 - all to make it clear that no president makes or decides foreign or military policy. The intelligence community and war industries do. The Cold War and policing wars are to continue until the national debt is so massive that no one will honor our money anymore.

Kennedy was not going to go into Vietnam and vetoed invading Cuba. He was assassinated.
Instead, then the USA got LBJ - who doing exactly opposite he promised sent 500,000 American troops to Vietnam.
Robert Kennedy was going to run. He was assassinated.
Nixon got out of Vietnam and established detente' with China. He was run out of office.
Carter would not go to war against Iran. He lost re-election.
    H. Bush did not continue militarism in Iraq. He lost re-election.
Obama promised no more foreign wars in the ME. But bombed and attacked more countries of any president except during WW2, so he is re-elected
President Trump promised detente' with Russia and to get out of the ME. 24/7 there is no stop attacks that he is a Russian Manchurian candidate and traitor, that Russia has engaged in "act of war" against the USA and a push to impeach him for seeking peace and a final end to the Cold War. So, like Obama, he accepted that Presidents ceased having any say in foreign or military policy since Truman. If not, he will be exposed to assassination or impeached. He realized Chuck Schumer is right. No one dare buck the whatever the intelligence community wants.

India HATES Muslims. If there ever is a nuclear exchange between nations, it most likely will be between Pakistan and India - until N.K. gets enough ballistic missiles to permanently eliminate the USA as a world power on behalf of China.

Does that really matter in your opinion of the ban?

The fact is that the ban never should have happened in the manner it did because the review should have been done before the courts ruled on it. I'm gonna flip flop on this right now though. If reccomendations come out for changes to the process, I am all for a ban while the changes are incorporated.

If you look at my very first post in this thread you will see that I agree that there has never been an end game articulated.

At the same time, we can't just sit back and allow terrorists a free space to train and plan.

The entire ME is a hot bed for terrorism. Where are we going to be next? The problem is too many times we stuck our nose where it doesn't belong and things turn out badly. I often wonder if we didn't take out Hussein, how different the landscape would be today. Regime change and nation building never goes well.

Pakistan have nukes. Are you suggesting we go to war with them?

Glad to see you have come around to Trumps side on this.

The way he called out Pakistan was refreshing. The only problem with not bribing them to behave is the fact that they may decide to let some nuke material slip out of their hands to pay us back.
