I don't need to 'study' anything to know that just like politicians, bureaucrats are nothing more than indolent talking heads who make their living by doing as little work as possible for as much money as possible, take as much time off as they can get away with, blame their incompetence and various shortcomings on others, and their only productive contribution is to organise bloody 'meetings' where they can throw their weight around and bully their minions. I can assure you they don't know the meaning of the word 'work'. Oh, and that's my own conclusion, not that of the Daily Mail. I would suggest to you that you read The Ragged-trousered Philanthropists to get some insight into how useless, non-productive opportunists get through life without doing a day's work, and by ruthlessly exploiting those who do work.

I don't know what you left nor for what reason, and care even less (if that's possible! )

The classic dismissive, and it speaks volumes about those who deploy it. My work here is done. [IMG]

I like your spirit. However, you must focus your argument.
Bureaucrats are people too, my friend. Bureaucracy is the evil organism here, not the men and women who earn a wage pushing papers and filing data. 'Pundits' are the talking heads. Most 'bureaucrats' do not earn a lot of money - they are not contract employees, they earn a salary.

It is your politicians, your pundits, your lobbyists, your old-world tycoons that have created and perpetuated this world of terror and complacency. If you are mad; all the better. Get mad. Get angry. There are men and women that were never even elected that meet behind closed doors and decide how you will live. I have seen it firsthand. They are your enemy, not the unsuspecting men and women that work in a 6x6 office cubicle.

Are the bureaucracies too big? Yes. Are they cumbersome and wasteful? Yes. It is not the employees you should have disdain for. (People must make a living in this pacified world). It is the waste. It is just one more way to entrap each country's citizens. What created these monsters of mess? At one time, they may have truly served their original purpose, but with all things created to control they have been perverted and obscured.

Cerberus, the guardian of the underworld. I like it, but what is it you are guarding?

    Oh for a salary....sigh.
    Oh for a pension....sigh.
    Oh for a mortgage... sigh.
    Oh for sick leave.... sigh
    Oh for holiday pay... sigh.
Oh for having a holiday where free roaming makes a difference... sigh

Tough tough life being a bureaucrat.
How much better it is to be on a contract!!!
Bugger me how often do I even get contracts?

Get these monkeys off my back. The lot of them. I have no wish to make them richer than I. To work half my life to offer them luxuries I will never know.
Work in a palace do you? That's nice, I work in a kitchen.

You should use the quote function. I'm Ireland. Cork to be specific. You want to have a beer with me?

Why did you lie in your previous comment to me? The UK had a referendum in 75 and 67.23% voted for while only 32.77% voted against.
    Violent and a liar....

There has been no referendum here for EU membership.

In 75 they held a referendum on EEC membership. A six country trade agreement.
Funnily enough no referendum was held before joining the EEC either.

The EU begins in 1993. It didn't exist in 1975. Nobody voted for it in 1975. No one had even heard of it.

    Keep telling yourself any other.
    It's matter of historical record.

Look up the 1975 EU referendum on Google.
    There wasn't one.

If you don't like what the history books say, I suppose we could always burn them for you.
But who needs books. This is not history for me. It's my story.

An EU referendum was campaigned upon by all parties in the run up to signing the EU treaty. It was reneged upon.
I will tell anybody this, as it is true.

Indeed it is, but my contempt isn't for those on the lower rungs, most of whom do their level best under exceedingly trying circumstances and the proverbial cutbacks which are being inflicted upon us to save the confounded but thankfully moribund common currency, it is aimed at the higher rungs, where the likes of Sharon Shoesmith are standing. How I loathe this woman and her ilk with a passion!!

There are two issues with that. Firstly, the fact that we already have the benefits means that inevitably the focus is on what we would be losing, rather than what we would be gaining (since we've already been gaining it). Secondly, when people have been focussing on the positives (as many people have) it just doesn't get reported with anything like the same prominence, because it isn't 'shocking' (and the campaigners know that, of course, so tend increasingly to say things that will get reported, or there's little point in saying anything at all - most people are just taking all of their information on it from the media, as usual). The apparent 'negative' campaigning has more to do with the general state of our politics and media than it does about the campaigns themselves.

I used to see the ferry heading to and from there regularly for years, but at the other end.

No she is quite a foolish person with very little life experience & very little political experience. That is why ignorant fools want to vote to remain within the EU.

Nothing like claiming over half the country are traitors. That'll definitely get them on your side!

It's like our educated youth being really clever voting to remain so that they can roam freely around Europe thinking that they are more likely to find a job in countries with a higher level of youth unemployment than in the UK. If that is the level of intelligence you are talking about then you can stick it.
Elitists eh, who'd have thought they could be so clever.

I don't have friends & associates that scared of me to express their opinion.

All my friends agree that pro-EU-ers are low-IQs. Sorry for your misunderstanding..

That kind of loyalty I prefer to have on my enemy's side.

I feel shame over my countries membership of the EU.
I have lived my life amongst the survivors of two world wars and I feel nothing but shame.

Typical bloke with his head in space pondering a theory of everything and strings. Ask him to think about something below the clouds and he'll follow the sheep. Creative thinker my arse. Whoever thought it was a good idea to get Hawkins on board wants their nuts and bolts tighteneing.

All the chavs and layabouts who live in the block of council flats not far from my home have a page cut from The Sun saying vote leave.

    Typical.
