As "pro-immigration groups claim (a myth)and you keep saying. Why hasn't the demand for products in this country increase substantial after the influx of millions illegal immigrants?

 

Whatever light was shed was not required. Farming is just like any other business in which we produce a product, have sales revenue, and hope like hell there are profits.

I never said I know 'so much' about a business...but I do know about our business.

Hiring employees does not create demand. It's easy to hire employees...it's extremely difficult to sustain and grow sales. Think of a business you use everyday, like the grocery store. What would happen if your grocery store suddenly had twice as many employees? Do you believe they will get twice as many sales? BTW...the cost of employees is passed along in the prices so if you hire unnecessary employees, your costs go up, but if that is not offset with higher sales revenue, you are now losing money...which cannot be sustained...

 

Who carried them yesterday has changed today...and you know this. People today do not have the same work ethic as yesterday and people today whine if they don't have air-conditioning and most are too fat to do this manual labor! Sadly, in many cases, this is coupled with a sense of entitlement in which too many people feel they are above certain types of work. Well...IMO...if Americans don't wish to do certain types of work, then others will, and it's stupid of Americans to complain about illegals when in fact most Americans are too spoiled to work as hard as others...immigrants.

It's pathetic that we're even having this discussion! I personally am tickled to death that immigrants will do some of this dirty and hard work! They are some of my favorite people for without them, myself and others will be out of business...

 

I understand what your trying to say. But if that same grocery store started cutting back employees to offset there lack of demand,what happens is a domino effect.Next they stop buying organic fruit from you,that leads to the delivery company loosing out so they cut back on employees and so forth. Next, demand for anything is slowed. This is where the myth of illegals doing "cheap labor "creates its own delima. By using "cheap illegals" that head of lettuce still is not going down. The biggest decline is the money that is put back into the economy and creates demand. In simple words the more money people have,the more likely they will spend.

 

You don't like this discussion because you darn good and well its not all true. I will agree that ""SOME"" people are just to lazy to do ""SOME""work. But when ICE bust a company,and that company has to rehire workers the lines for those jobs are long,and filled with "AMERICANS".

Then you have to figure in the X factor. My first jobs were in construction. WHY? Because they were plentiful. Just as toilet cleaning jobs,waitress jobs and so on.Its not that case today.WHY? Because illegals gobble them up.

And anyone who hires these ingrate illegal immigrants should have there business closed. There supporting law break,system manipulation ingrates.

 

If you want to see the effects of immigration, two great places to look at are California and Texas. We all know that California has a very high unemployment rate and has gone bankrupt, so let us look at Texas instead.

Generally, immigration has seemed to benefit the Texas economy by providing cheap labor for businesses. But did this business growth merely come at the expense of other states who were not able to compete because they do not have as many laborers willing to work for poverty-wages?

Even if immigration helps to "grow" the economy in Texas, this does not necessarily mean living conditions will improve. If the population increases more than the economy does, things could likely become worse. There are many "hidden" costs from immigration that would not show up in an economic analysis. How much does crime truely cost society? Are all the extra security measures that businesses have to take included in such a cost analysis?

The increasing population of Texas has also meant that the price of land has been increasing. If a family has to pay more money to buy a house, they are worse off, not better off. Yet from an economic analysis, the economy would be seen as "growing" because more money was spent.

 

This type of ignorant and xenophobic talk is why illegal immigration issues are not resolved...ignorance...

When you and tens of millions others drive your car 50mph in a 45mph zone, this is illegal and it's a crime. And this is not about race...it's about 'breaking the law'.
