The farther you go from the equator, the farther the ‘known’ constellations go towards the horizon, and are replaced by different stars. This would not have happened if the world was flat:

in all seriousness I sometimes think there are no such things as spheres myself, just an illusion of a sphere.

Here's how I can to that conclusion.



I'm an avid player of Minecraft, and in that game you build everything in blocks. In that game it is very difficult to build a real circle.

So I started joking around and claiming there is no such thing as circles.

Then i came across this thing called Planck units. They are an incredibly small unit of measurement, and by incredibly small I mean they are used to measure the distance between the atoms.

And then i found out that Planck units are illustrated as cubes.

So maybe, just maybe, there is no such things as circles or spheres at all.

 

When you observe the distant horizon from a trans-continent flight, it looks kinda curvy. After 10 hours of flight, it looks the same. This happens regardless of which continent you depart from. Where does that leave ya?

Standing up in a rowboat at sea level, the average person can see three miles to the horizon in any direction, with or without a telescope. When a ship is hull down, it's over the horizon, and the sea blocks your view of it due to the curvature of the planet surface..

You might have to explain to me what you mean by that phenomena and how your proof works.

One way you measure distance with light is to cause the light to turn on/off rapidly or change frequency. Record the time it happens and the time the light or new of light frequency is received. If you know the time it took to travel and the speed at which light travels you can calculate the distance it has traveled.

When the sun is beyond the horizon, it becomes night. You can't see the sun anymore. The only light you can see from it, is light reflected off of objects off the earth. The moon for example.

The existance of a herizon proves the earth is round. The herizon is the spot where the earth curves. If the earth were flat, you would not see a herizon.
