You know she was a devout Christian right and that according to the Bible, pride is a sin [arguably the worst of all]?

    Proven falsehood.

Chattel Slavery has been practiced world wide. As usual you twist revisionist fiction about racism into any discussion.

Comment doesn't sound very left wing to me, seems kind of extreme, not many know the difference between left and right sides ppl.

The earliest known practice of chattel slavery was from the Middle East.

It’s true. That’s why you resort to name calling. It’s the only defense you have against logic and truth

I understand. You have no idea what they do and what value they bring. You are also completely unaware that it costs taxpayers almost nothing, while the tourist dollars is good for local business.

At least you admit you have no idea. Most pretend to speak with authority.

I have a feeling that the only Royal prerogative left without Parliaments consent is that the Queen/King can dismiss the Prime Minister if he/she does not step down after an election. Apart from that, the constitutional monarchy is a UK tradition that now rubber stamps Parliament's wants.

The way our government has operated for a few decades, and especially due to the recent **** show, I would favour an Absolute Monarchy that puts the country first.

What you are trying to say is she is some kind of saint of pure higher power in her blood which makes her unique among mankind. Thus, with her higher powers evolved thru noble birth, she was able to guide her tax payers into greatness through wisdom and fortitude with her most timely decisions and expert directives towards the entire United Kingdom.

The monarch can close down Parliament if they want.
Unlike à certain prime minister who tried to..

It’s irrelevant. You’ve decided. Nothing to add.

I've decided nothing, I'm so open and intrigued to know how one feels the royal family benefits them personally...in contemporary UK society.

Given that the solomonic dynasty of Ethiopia dates back to biblical times, is something that fascinates me, I'd be foolish to discount another's faith in their own royal lineage without a proper understanding of how they feel it benefits them personally.

It doesn’t benefit me. It is up to the people of the commonwealth to decide. If they see value, the monarchy stays.

One royal wedding nets millions for the local economy. So, too, shall this funeral. And the coronation.

I'm inclined not to think the monarchy will end but more countries within the Commonwealth may become republics:

It's also going to cost the taxpayer millions so like istated, let's leave the money issue aside for now since it's a no brainer. The royal family represents EVERYTHING that is wrong with society, given the enourmous challenges ahead trying to deal with the problem of wealth inequality. The wealth gap, during her reign, has reached record proportions across the globe, let alone UK. This is the legacy of our monarchy.

The queen ruled over the commonwealth nations, not just UK. If one refuses to listen to what the commonwealth nations have to say regarding the monarchy then quite frankly, that's racist, plain and simple.
