No, I’m not saying they didn’t invent it. I’m not saying they don’t control most of it. But I don’t think what race they are even really matters. Minority politicians exploit race just as much as white politicians. They use race for political advantage, promoting division for political gain.

We need to learn to be completely colorblind. I imagine we have a few more generations until that is a possibility, given the racial ridiculousness from both sides over the last decade or so.

 

Same here. I voted for him in 2016, hoping he would completely change the dynamics of power in DC for the better. Boy, did that backfire, lol. He’s made the polarization far worse than it was before 2016.

Of course politicians use skin color to advance an agenda. That's a given. But the system has been largely white controlled for the vast majority of USA existence.
It takes several generations to end it in the minds of people. Old people need to die off.
The system may be less color sensitive, but it's still deep set into some people's minds. Including those in positions of power within the system.

 

By the time the general election came around in 2016, I could not vote for him. I voted for Governor Johnson who I thought was by far the best candidate on the board. I never voted for any Clinton or Bush and went out of my way to vote against them throughout my life. Living in California, it really doesn’t matter who you vote for in a national election anyway. At least they moved up the primaries last round...

 

With the hordes of conservative voters having been denied the right to vote because someone voted in their stead, I dont think it can be said that 'Californians' did anything ...except get shafted.

But lets say Im wrong and the election was totally free, fair and legit and no one is cheating and all these conservatives claiming they didnt vote are involved in a massive conspiracy with eachother to undermine the public's faith in our elections... its then clear that affirmative action is only for those of the proper political persuasion and its not about equality at all.
