There is nothing "inevitable" about tyranny.

 

I disagree. Tyranny will occur as soon as we let our guards down. It's the inevitable result of giving the government too much power.

 

Tyranny is the ultimate goal of bureaucracy's growth. The Framers understood this so codified in the Constitution the remedy.

 

When you can have the IRS target a certain group and get away with it, tyranny's already here.

 

If that's the case then why do police have them and high capacity magazines? What if there were multiple attackers? Plus as a side not shooting someone is not like the movies. It's not one shot, one kill and you never miss. In a high stress situation you'll be shaking like a leaf and the assailant could be so hyped up that he won't even noticed that he's been shot.
