That's interesting. I saw the same video in a different article which says the person who does the shooting was actually a woman. A lot of the articles claim the person "tried" to shoot themselves but actually hit the instructor. What actually happens was the person shot themselves full in the chest, the round penetrated the torso, struck a rib and ricocheted down into the range officer's leg. In shock, the shooter walked over and sat down, ultimately collapsing minutes later from blood loss.

Oh, Good Lord. There's a lot about that pic to like (attractive Blonde, for one) but everything else just makes me cringe. Improper shooting stance and the Bubba'd tactical thigh rig.... Just makes me shake my head.

Yeah, something tells me technique isn't her thing. I'd be happy to work with her though.

To be honest, I'm shocked at how few people today - even ostensibly knowledgeable shooters - understand how to properly use a sling...

No kidding. I look at all the "shooters" with their bipods and wonder how well they do w/o a rest....

That's me on the far right. The M16 at my left foot, as you look at the picture, belongs to the guy in the middle. It has a bipod. I never understood why he used one. When you hit the ground it dictates the hight of the weapon. Yes it's removable, but to me that's a wasted movement.

Bipods are nice when you're shooting at 1000 yards or more.

True - but to know how to shoot at 1000 or more w/o one is much like knowing how to read a map and compass, even though you have GPS.
