We have to wonder if President Johnson didn't know that one day America would become a multicultural country when he signed that Immigration bill in 1965. Up to that point the immigration laws specfically favored White European immigrants. I wonder what made him do it?

I could not enslave anybody. My heart wouldn't let me. I don't even like to see animals mistreated. I didn't say anything about enslaving Whites. I would like nothing better than for all Americans to be treated equally. I hope I will live long enough to witness it.

Just because something is legal does not make it right. There was a time in history when it was legal for a husband to beat his wife and kids if he wanted to. Anyone with a conscience would say that was wrong. Ditto for slavery. As we evolve we see things differently. As for the Hispanics, I'm not sure how they will view things. We'll have to wait and see.
