See, there's this stuff called 'evidence' of crime. You may have heard of it, and I'm certain that many years of incarceration would have been ample time for your awesome intelligence services to have gathered enough of it to convict these people.
So we have two possibilities; either your intelligence services are inept, or those currently held are innocent.

 

If they're guilty, convict them. Why haven't they been tried or even charged with an offense? (Not a trick question)

 

If you've been locked-up for no reason at the Guantanamo Hilton for years, I guess revenge on the cretins who were dumb enough to think you were a threat, might be something you'd consider. Especially if you have been subject to the gentle art of US 'we don't torture,' 'enhanced' interrogation techniques. What would you do, shake Sgt. Rock's hand and say, 'thanks for a great vacation'?

What is unnacceptable is incarceration without trial, the total abrogation of habeas corpus, that most fundamental of human rights, and America acting precisely as it accuses its enemies of behaving.

Assuming what you say is correct,then why was the Obama regime scouring the country looking for someplace to have trials in? I remember when those morons were seriously considering having trials for them in Denver, and busing them back and forth from here to a maximum security prison a hundred miles south of here!

It was either accident, or desperation, but one of the wisest decisions Obama has ever made was to just let these scumbags sit in Gitmo and rot. Ha! But NOW it appears that even this isolated accomplishment of King Hussein's reign will be negated if he turns all these rats loose. It's just one more reason we never should have put this inept, equivocating ding-a-ling in the White House, and, another reason why we should NOT make the mistake of a second term in office for him or anyone like him....

 

And this decision comes after finding out that the ring leader of the attack in Libya, was by a detainee that was released from gitmo.

Thay are not on trial ,they are combatants captured on a battlefield, what they get are militaty tribuals like the Nazi's in Germany. This is NOT a civilian court and evidence does NOT have to meat the same standards. Plus, they are not Americans, and they DO NOT deserve or are entitled to constitutional protection.

 

Because some aer afraid of creating more radicals by trying them for the heinous murderous acts of war.

Of 779 originally incarcerated with no charge, no trial and no access to legal representation, would you care to tell us how many have been charged with any offense, leave alone a terror-related one?
