Who is denying the human tragedy occurring in Venezuela as the result of socialism ??

Still with the denial! I'm not interested in that. I'm more interested in the relationship between American voters and its government. To what extent does the US government's illegal foreign policies reflect right wing authoritarianism among the electorate? Alternatively, to what extent is the lack of awareness shown by right wingers the result of blind allegiance to that government?

I suppose one might argue that US sanctions are starving North Koreans and making life difficult. And I suppose one might argue that sanctions forced East Berlin to murder Germans trying to escape into West Berlin. And I suppose one might argue sanctions against the Soviet Union harmed the citizens of Poland, Hungry, Romania, and more. So what’s the lesson? Citizens better start choosing better leaders who are committed to capitalism and individual rights if they don’t want to suffer, instead of behaving like parents blaming others for their children's sins.

In other words, this nothing more than crocodile tears cried to keep the Jessie James and Clyde Barrows in power while they use the violence of the gun to loot the wealth creators.

Amusing effort, given you're the one ignoring the evidence. I'm still unsure over that government link. We know that right wingers ignore the deaths created by government aggression. But there is an endogeneity problem. Did the government create the support for authoritarianism, or did the authoritarianism create the government?

    Close, but no cigar.

Sanctions are intended to make an existing government change its ways and learn to kiss the arse of the US government. Sanctions are like pre-operative procedures in a hospital. The patient is prepared for surgery. The offending and legitimate government is prepared to be eliminated so that a puppet government can be installed.

The US is very well practiced in that art, though it seems to be failing at the moment in Venezuela.

So far no evidence that the US has killed anyone in Venezuela.

The report shows otherwise. A key trait of the authoritarian personality is "belief in aggression toward those who do not subscribe to conventional thinking, or who are different". That makes support for government aggression terribly easy!

Because we dont know how much they skimmed off the top for themselves

But the end result is chaos

Why, because I recognize that Americans need jobs more than cheap trinkets made in china?

Your inflexible and puritan standards are unworkable in the real world

Because you think trade is a zero-sum game where one person's win is another person's loss. In reality, trade is a win-win situation that increases the amount of wealth in existence. There is almost never a good reason for the government to impede trade between people. Those who look for reasons to control trade are usually socialists.

I'm just talking basic capitalist economics over here. Trade is economically beneficial and should be encouraged, not smothered by government interference. You and Madruro both want to use the government to limit economic freedom in the name of collective security.

So YOUR Rational is this -
Maduro is strangling his own people - because he is a Socialist
So we the Exceptionals, will institute cruel Seige Sanctions that will cause
as much depravation, starvation, disease and death among the Venezuelan
people as possible. Maybe accomplish the murder half a million children like we
DID in Iraq. - It will be "A price that we feel is Worth it !"
That is after all what Sanctions are meant to do

The Commie Rat Maduro will relent, and for our trouble our Corporations
will assume control of the resources that use to belong to the Venezuelan
    .................................................................................................................People

Socialism has strangled tens of millions over the decades. Maduro is a piker compared to Stalin and Mao.
