Just had to stop by and say.....YEEHAW. Shaping up to a better night than even I imagined!!!!

Both the Senator and Governor in Arkansas just flipped form Dem to Republican.

West Virginia Senator went to Republican.

South Carolina voters have sent Republican Tim Scott back to the U.S. Senate, making him the first black candidate to win a statewide race since just after the Civil War.

They GOP now needs a net gain of four seats to claim the Senate for the first time since the administration of George W. Bush. A GOP win would mark a rebuke for President Barack Obama and could set the ideological battle lines for the 2016 presidential election.

    AND so far.....a +2

Maybe there is hope for this Nation yet.

You can lure the people in with your fancy slogans and empty promises but they will eventually see through the lies.

Turning into a great night indeed, and a referendum against Obama and the liberals.

I imagine that Obama is currently hiding in the Oval Office and trembling with fear. The mob is outside his door.

maybe this will get Democrats to refocus on what we need to do for America, and what are distractions.

Still got fingers crossed for Florida.

    FL, Governor - 72.15% reporting
    R-Rick Scott 48.70%
    D-Charlie Crist 46.38%

    Florida needs this.

Man if they took the distractions off their agenda they might as well just dissolve the party.

A lot of errors by the Democrats -- more and worse than by the R's in 2012 -- This is good.

For once Biden told the truth. Orman is a phony Independent (not that it wasn't obvious to anyone with more than three functioning synapses...). Thanks Hairplugs!

    Etc.

Or maybe they will just go away for a while while we recover from what they have been doing.

The only thing Udall had in Colorado was "the war on women" meme. It failed miserably.

The Republicans are taking historic gains in the House of Representatives +10 more which really destroys Pelosi and team.

If they take the Senate and they are +5 right now needed +6 which makes it looks really likely, then they will own Congress.

They need to get things that Democrats support too done and done quickly.

    XL Pipeline.
Let Obama veto it and then shove it up his ass with Democrats helping over ride.
Comprehensive Immigration Reform: Make the process easier, add more open slots by a lot, and include a path to citizenship that makes the illegals follow a legal process, and finally serious border control - This is a huge win if the Republicans do it, because the Latinos will honor them with votes for decades to come no matter what the Liberals tell you.
Foreign $ Tax Rates Declined: Bring back $2 Trillion to our economy - Many Democrats support this too and can beat a veto

Get it done Republicans. Prove that you are the party to get things done and the Presidency will be yours too.

The Senate is gonna come down to Kansas & Alaska.

    Dems are gonna take Virginia.

Wouldn't that be something if the Independent in Kansas ruins the R's from taking the Senate.

They need to work with the Democrats, at least in the Senate. The worst thing they can do is come in with a (*)(*)(*)(*) eating grin on their face and say, "we won", then block all input from the minority party.

Clueless. Absolutely clueless. This is why electing Republicans really makes no real difference at the end of the day. They're almost as willing to sell out the country for votes as Democrats.

Reagan granted amnesty and his Vice President received less of the Hispanic vote than any Republican President since. How'd that whole amnesty plan work out for Republicans back then, HB?

This time will be different though, I'm sure. Hispanics are natural conservative voters, right? Despite the fact that 55% of them have a negative view of capitalism and support socialism as a group more than Occupy Wall Street, according to Pew Research. Despite the fact that 75% of them prefer a larger Government that provides more services to a smaller Government that provides less services. Despite those things, yeah, natural Republicans. It's just those damn liberals who are telling lies about it. Yeah, that's it.

    What a joke.

That's what they plan to do......there is something like 300+ pieces of legislation that was passed out of the House and is sitting in the Senate....where Harry Reid blocked them from even being discussed or voted on. Republicans will start to move those through the system.....some already had House bi-partisan support; so they'll pass. It will be up to the president, then, to harm his legacy even further by vetoing them. He's going to have to change and listen to what the people are telling him. The have spoken.

Another one you'll see passed rather quickly: the Keystone XL pipeline.

Yay! Now let's get started with the wonderful ideas thrown out in this thread. Granting amnesty to tens of millions of illegal aliens, and working with Democrats!

    USA! USA! USA!

This is why conservatives and Republicans will never win in the end. Too weak. Too trusting of the enemy. Did Democrats work with you? Was their first thought upon taking power - "gee, we should work with Republicans!". WTF!?

And we don't improve things by doing the things we despise. It'll only encourage future congressman to do more of the same instead of actually working for a solution. The quality of our nation will only go downhill with the two sides playing tit for tat. How do we justify that for future generations?

Their example of what? They fell apart because they couldn't distance themselves enough from the policies of an unpopular President. You're under the impression they'd be winning right now if they were more considerate and friendly to other side? Unbelievable.
