Washington, DC—Congressman Todd Rokita introduced the SLAP Act (H.R. 4526, the Stopping Lawless Actions of Politicians) to hold lawless state and local politicians accountable with criminal penalties for working to obstruct federal immigration enforcement efforts:

“The American people are rightfully infuriated watching politicians put their open-borders ideology before the rule of law, and the safety of the people they represent. Politicians don't get to pick and choose what laws to comply with. Americans are dying because politicians sworn to uphold the law refuse to do so,” Congressman Rokita said. “It’s time the federal government gets serious about enforcing immigration laws and holding politicians accountable who conspire to break them."

Violators of this law could be sentenced to 5 years in federal prison and be fined up to $1 million. This elitist mentality that everyone is not equal under the law must come to an end. These politicians want one set of rules for hard working Americans, but a different set of rules for illegal immigrants, and themselves.

Congressman Rokita opposes amnesty, supports building a wall and securing the border and voted for Kate’s Law to crackdown on sanctuary cities.

It's about time... I wish this would have been an idea back when we could nip this liberal lawlessness in the bud, but now we have to cut the head off of the snake. I don't know the chances of this being passed, but I would love to see it happen. These lawless progressive politicians need to be held responsible for their unlawful actions.

Go ahead, you're only going to escalate the conflict.

Right, WE'RE going to escalate it because we're looking for the solution to stopping politicians from breaking the law. Your response comes as no surprise seeing that you also think the gun is the problem when a mental case wants to kill.
