Way to jump to conclusions! Me? I'm a capitalist, that's right, just like you. But a corporation is not a person. It cannot be sent to prison, it cannot vote, it cannot go to church, have sex, procreate or love.

This is really the dumbest argument the left makes. That corporations are not people.

What exactly do you think a corporation is? Some alien construct? It's an organization of people. Where does money that a corporation makes go? It goes to people, because it is people.

    Antithesis of reality. Please.

Also, according to legal precedent a corporation retains all legal rights of a person.

They already have all the rights of citizens because they are citizens. They also elect presidents because they like you can vote.

If an officer or manager of the company knowing breaks the law while acting for the company he can be prosecuted civilly and/or criminally.

Because they elect officers of the company to run it. The officers are the ones that are criminally liable in he case of a prosecution. The corporate CEO and President et al would be the ones answerable. In many cases the board of directors would also be liable. in most smaller corportions the major shareholders are the President and CEO or Chairman of the Board. They would be liable. In major corporations there may be no direct controlling interest like in the case of Chrysler and GE.

    Understand:
There are large industries of insurance and banking corporations based in UT. The MItt is only protecting his base. Gotta give the banks and insurance coprorations assurance that their campain contributions will be put to good use on the people.

If I think in the conservative way, I will say I do not like the Mitt because of his name. The Urban dictonary will explain. As well as what he stands for.

Why the hell didn't they give their strike fund to the creditors? It's a billion dollars. Just sitting there. It should be sent to pay back the Taxpayer.

Tell that to the Supreme Court. They Court protects Constitutional rights of 'people' or 'groups'?

It's the rational behind giving LGBT people the ability to legally marry each other in certain States.

Yes, it is. There is no dispute as to what a corporation is. As i have shown any valid source will support the definition, including every governement and legal system in the world where corporations are created. Now, if you want to say that every government and legal system in the world is wrong and you are right then you probably need professional help.

Semantic nonsense, betcha spent a lot of time thinkin that one up hey sparky? You see, that will probably fool your right wing buddies who will ooh and ahh in worship at your use of 3 syllable words. they dont understand. But to the rest of us its plain old bs. Im always bemused at the lengths you people will go to do disguise your ignorance, The rest of us, well we just go and actually learn things.

Weak. I hardly think Romney would advocate the same rights to a corporation as the people have. People with common sense knew what he meant....that people make up corporations (since I have to spell it out for you).

Liberals have a tough time with common sense and leaves them getting their panties all in a wad over these silly "gotcha" moments....obsessed over the semantics of what someone said inistead of what we all knew he meant.

Let me know if you come across Romeny pushing for voting rights for corporations or something.

When possible, it's better to watch the event as it unfolded rather than to take someone's interpretation as gospel.

I really wish you were right, because I do believe that's what Romney believes, but it's not what happened, and he even clarified.
The applause didn't come from his claiming that corporations are people, but simply at the end of his appearance.

Liberals aren't the only ones that ignore context and jump on every spoken work in order to seize upon some "gotcha" moment and thus make some irrelevant and usually obnoxious point. They just don't have enough sense to be able to do it every once in a while when it's actually applicable - just for credibility's sake. So they have made for themselves a reputation for being a bunch of jabbering, lying weasels - a reputation, as far as I can determine, that's well deserved.

Far be it from me to deny that all the voices in your head are in agreement on this point.
I suppose you deserve some credit for sensing that discretion is the better part of valor, given that no one with 100 times your intelligence could find fault with any of it.

Libs hardly hold a monopoly on "gotcha" moments and taking irrelevant moments out of context. Hell, in the debate Fox geared most of their questions toward creating irrelevant TV drama moments.

Fox News: the very best in news entertainment television.

Those laws you quote merely establish the corporate legal standing, the corporation that is made up of people engaged in a common business endeavor. Bottom line it stills get down to corporations are just people joined in a peaceful assembly.

Corporations are owned by people. People don't own people anymore. Corporations don't equal people. Corporations = Property

Rich-b!tch business people purchased politicians to invent corporate rights to hide assets behind, and the politicians were more than happy to oblige.

    Breathtaking.
    It is a legal fiction.
    It is OWNED by people.
    Absurdity piled on absurdity.
Allow me to reiterate: ANTITHESIS OF REALITY.
Wrong again. And even if it weren't, laws cannot revoke facts.

    The word is entity.

Yes without people the corporation is never formed and never exist.

That a corporation is not made up of the people who owned and operate it, yes I would agree with that.

It's not just your election vote that gives you a "say". The formation of the Tea Party and their collective influence on the politics of the last few years is a the modern example of how the will of the people can be met with actionable outcome.

That's right. The election is only the hiring process. Only an idiot would hire someone for a job then never check up to see what kind of a job they're doing until the contract runs out.
