So, Ron Paul is racist for what someone else did in his name? So is Jesus Christ a Murderer for the crusades?

But Obama isn't racist or a terrorist cause he supports Rev Wright and Ayers why again? Obama only was married by Wright. The pastor only baptized his kids. The Rev spoke his racist rants several times, and wasn't shy about his racist views, but Obama is supposedly oblivious to the remarks by his spiritual mentor? Did you call all Catholic priests pedophiles cause of a few that were touching boys behind the scenes?

You seriously are pathetic to keep on this meme every Ron Paul thread.

wrong paul is directly responsible for his own company, including the items he wrote in the newsletter

this shows he was writing in the newsletter, despite his lies

"In 1988 when I ran for president on the Libertarian Party ticket, I was berated for hours by LP members because I had refused to vote, while in Congress, for a Martin Luther King national holiday."

How does that prove he wrote everything in the paper? You want to believe the opinions of a blogger, go a head. Remember to re form your tin foil when you wake up.

i haven't seen anybody say he wrote everything

and i received ron paul's newsletters myself, i signed up after seeing ron speak in dallas over 30 years ago

he most certainly knew what was in the newsletters and backed it 100% at that time

if you want to see failure, look at the number of states ron paul won in the 2008 primary election: it was zero

LOL, you're just like the other 4 or so hardcore RP haters here at PF. You have no legitimate arguments. Just one liners and drivel.

ron paul is not racist. baseless strawman arguments created by people who are incapable of understanding the differences between Individualism and Collectivism...and why being racist would contradict RP's individualist ideology

    Don't be silly Bruce.

I can't believe you are that clueless so it must be that the truth about King makes you uncomfortable so you prefer to live in denial.

    That's really sad.

    No.
What is sad is misusing the word "adulator".
Two posters have done it now.
It shows the intellectual acuity of the people bringing the charge.
MLK has nothing to do with this thread.

I thought we straightened that out.

But if that is all you have to hang your argument on be my guest.

Do you concede that King was a well-known adulterer?

As far as I know, he was both well known and committed adultery.
    Now, relevance?

That blows up this thread which is trying to smear Ron Paul with a charge of racism since what the newsletter said about King was true.

I'm one that doesn't actually believe Paul to be racist. Unfortunately, he empowers racism with his policies, and as such I have no use for him. What his personal position is on the issue is of no interest to me. What matters to me is the place he would lead our country, and I don't want to go where he, perhaps inadvertently, is leading.
What MLK has to do with that, I don't know.

I also do not think Ron Paul is a racist.

But in our society just treating every person the same can be considered a form of racism if it "disproportionately impacts" black people.

It's an upside-down world we live in that Paul is trying to fix.

You conveniently leave out Paul's support for the owner of a diner that chooses to make his establishment white only. Is this what you mean by "treating everyone the same"? This is the diner owner's right, according to Paul. Nobody's business.
This is why he is not electable. He is faithful to his ideology, but where his ideology inevitably leads is nauseating to most of us.

I think only government has the responsibility to treat every citizen the same.

So white-only water fountains are wrong but if an individual wants to marry a white person only rather than any other race that is OK.

Or own a business that sells to one race only.

You don't have to agree with that but a free person should be free to associate with whoever they wish.
