Homosexuals isn't a mental illness. And it's only a deviant behavior in the same way waiting until marriage to have sex is.

 

Only in cases where homosexuals were trying to indoctrinate K-12 public school students into thinking their actions were any superior to those buggering animals. And of course gays should not have legal marriage status, or full rights to adopt children, any more than beast lovers do.
Beastophiles and Gays are on the same moral plane, in my opinion. Consent between two (or more) consenting adults has nothing to do the morality of the issue.

Beastiality is illegal pretty much everywhere in America. So then yes, you believe homosexuality should be illegal and homosexuals should face penalties via government force for consensual sex.

Morality can be based on individual acts. Just as a perv who plays with himself in public, so it goes with gays or beastophiles having public displays of their sexuality. The moral public does not have to stand for it.

I don't think that you can parse the voting rationale that finely. Not all conservatives think gay is a problem, but the candidate that best represents the BULK of their own perspectives and opinions is going to get their vote.

Inbefore you say gays holding hands in public is "public display of sexuality" but won't apply that same standard to heterosexuals.

Statutory rape is decided by state law. Personally I think the law should be 18 for anyone over the age of 18 or 14 for people aged 14 to 18 (meaning a 21 year old can have sex with an 18 year old but not a 17 or 16 year old, but we aren't putting a 15 year old who has sex with his 14 year old girlfriend in prison)
