    No, we're not.
    Christ! Thanks for the link.
Don't the citizens realize it themselves? Do they really swallow all of that codswallop from government without even a twitch?

It shoudn't be a complex question, but I think it probably is. Lots of people get scared when they're confronted with unscrupulous government and prefer to become invisible. Then there are others who just don't have the self-honesty and self respect to deal with matters head on. After that there are those who are not really intellectually equipped for anything other than the most basic thinking.

The bottom line is that we end up dealing with a minority.

You GCHQ or NSA? Nah! They only hire people with PhD's and above. I'll stick with the military. Because I know you were in it for one thing. Social media armchair warrior...

Having said that of course, I note you're still deflecting so as to ignore the question about how you get access to the forum database and members IP addresses. I'm not very technically inclined at the best of times, but I couldn't do that. You can though. How come?

    Thus my questions stands.

Never to be answered is my guess.

In the end (given what you've said about the standard of intellectually equipped with little self-respect at the lower rungs of a class system), the propaganda is such that government (theirs') has always been "the good guy". So the average citizen is left with the choice of trusting either themselves or the "Axis of Evil" dark horse. The same old story: "good guy" lies, "good guy" propaganda, and "good guy" censorship.

Thanks for the laugh on Monday morning!

Then you're shown a video with an uncontrollable truth and your reaction is ... how could it be otherwise ... to label the victim as a thief and a bad person so that the violence that your holy Czar Putin justified is justifiable has arranged!

FIRST: Staging phoney wars, phoney WMD's, phoney chemical attacks, phoney inspection teams, phoney telephone conversations, phoney vials of destrctive material, phoney satellite photos, phoney intelligence statistics, etc. is NOT democratic principles.
SECOND: You are far down the list of world democracies - read it and weep.

NOTE: The US isn't even a "full democracy". No. It is on the list of "Flawed Democracies".

Even if I agree with you regarding the alleged use of poison gas ... as proof ... I just have to laugh! :roflol::rock_slayer::roflol:

First of all, I'm not an American ... MY COUNTRY is number 13 on your list!
On the other hand, where is Russia on this list? Not even in the top 30, eh? :nana:
I would say that was a classic own goal by you!

You are comparing two very different things. The Iraq debacle was a case of US intelligence single-handedly pushing a narrative. France and Germany were always skeptical.

    http://www.latimes.com/world/middleeast/la-na-curveball20nov20-story.html

What's more, Saddam had never had an established nuclear weapons program in the past. Where Assad is concerned, the OPCW, French intelligence, and German intelligence are pretty much all on-board. This is not the U.S., this is the international community. Also, Syria publicly admitted to having chemical weapons fairly recently, in 2013- an important detail.

If you look back at news from 2003, it's striking how different the details are. France, Germany, and Russia were actually united against war. The US was speaking about invasion like it was nothing, not just some missile strikes or sanctions. Also, Iraq was a more-or-less stable country, not one already wracked by revolution and civil war. There's a saying that generals always prepare for the last war, not the current one. I think a lot of people are still stuck on Iraq, and can't see anything else.

Saddam's nuclear program was known to be extinguished by Israel's air raid ... well before 1990/1991. But Saddam had masses of chemical weapons, but all of which he gave to Desert Storm / were destroyed!
But the US said they still had some, but we never found any, as we all know ... apart from the fact that the whole 2003 attack from A to Z is based on lies as justification ... and that's what it is called to a "War against Terror" was the culmination of lies!
Worse than the criminal attack itself, however, was the total incompetence of the US in the aftermath that turned Iraq into the madhouse, which we all heard in the media and that it still is today.

Assad had never denied possessing poison gas, but he has given everything. Only chlorine is EXPRESSLY allowed to him, because as stated, it has several important civil aspects, such as water treatment, where it is necessary.
But the rebels also have chlorine, for the same reason ...

Assad has been caught lying though. He never declared the purpose of the Sarin/VX site inspected by OPCW in 2015, as required. The narrative pushed by the US government on Iraq was always nonsense, but it was never like this. They never said "inspectors have just found traces of anthrax at this site in Iraq." They used smoke and mirrors, and bad interpretation. If they had made claims like this, which turned out to be fabricated, people would have gotten in more trouble when the intelligence failures were investigated. Probably why they didn't do it.

My wife is from Košice. This is a monument to all of the young Soviet soldiers who were killed liberating Košice (Slovakia) from the Nazis. Most of these boys were only 18 years old.

O dear Destroyer ... again and again you come to me with the 2. WW as answer about how heroic the Red Army was and how evil the Germans. How many times did I tell you know after such an action of you, that my ancestors - Germans - fought against the Nazis in WW-2 and some of them sit also in concentration camps and of those some died there murdered by the Nazis!

So what is your story here now to tell me about this Red Army soldier please?

    1. You can start with the fact that the chemical attack was first used by the German side on April 22, 1915, under Ypres. (Concentration camps are an invention of Britain, an atomic bomb is an invention of Americans, but chemical weapons are German achievements.)
    2. Russia is the freest and most peaceful country in the world. Russia is above any list. If you can not understand this, just learn by heart. And do not ask any more irrelevant questions.

The US is a fascist dictatorship. In the United States, the largest number of prisoners. Even in Nazi Germany was less than in the modern US. In the US, torture is officially permitted. In the US, sadists who personally torture people and receive from this pleasure are appointed to high government positions. (Even Himmler did not personally torture people). In the US, the NSA conducts a total surveillance of its citizens....etc.

    Correct.

    Is this true?

Yes, it is. They even torture innocent people in Abu Graib and Guantanamo.

    I don't believe that.

Yes. The American NSA is worse than Stasi and Securitate.

It's true. You can easily test this.

Trump appointed the new director of the CIA, Gene Hespel, who personally tortured people. About this was a thread on this forum.

They are children in comparison with the total surveillance of the NSA.

Did I express that? No ... but what does your reference to this Red Army soldier have to do with the matter? Nothing!
It's just about that you want to show me as a German the heroism of the Red Army = the Russians to others - to distract you unpleasant realities of today! You can forget that!

And you do it again ... this BS!

    1. What has the matter to do with the fact that the Germans in WW-1 in 1915 were the first to use poison gas (chlorine gas)? Nothing ... absolutely nothing!
Once again, it's your ridiculous attempt to rant against Germany because it was bad in history here and there,
to deviate from the subject as soon as it becomes uncomfortable for your holy Russia!
Apart from that, I somehow said that I myself have doubts about this alleged poison gas use in Syria, whether it actually existed!.
Funny thing about your behavior, but above all, that you viciously deny every evil act of the USSR and Russia ... which just shows how much you have lost the sense of realities!

    2. And that's why Russia is not even among the top 30 on the list, eh?
But I know ... as long as the list is good enough to rage against the evil USA ... who are not my country ... it's perfect.
But if she also testifies that Russia is even worse on the list, then of course she is wrong ... correct?

How exactly do we have any room to complain about our Comms getting jammed in a country where our forces are operating illegally?

The United States never has claimed to be a full democracy or never intended to be a full democracy.

Where's the freedoms rankings of countries ?

America was founded on freedom...individual freedoms. Freedom of choice.

Americans have more personal freedoms than any of the 19 countries listed as full democracies.

When the "New Left" (radical leftist) hijacked the Democratic party almost 48 years ago, we Americans have lost many personal freedoms but we still have more personal freedoms than any of the countries that have full democracies and most other countries.

The problem with full democracies is that all countries have stupid people, uneducated people, low information people, people who are misinformed and lazy people who want free stuff.

Because of the above and because of liberal Democrats in California we have lost so many personal freedoms that the state of California is at the bottom when it comes to freedoms in America.

So why does the US claim to be the "leader of the Democratic world"?
Rankings? The proof is in the pudding. Americans are restricted from travelling to any country in the world and are restricted to a two-party system, etc. etc. etc.
So was the DDR and China and North Korea ..... so they all say.
A complete and utter lie. Americans can only understand what freedom is when they've lived in any of those (and many other) countries. And then that is exactly why you don't know it.
"Love it or leave it" - "Black or white" - "With us or against us" .… and now it's the fault of "the left". Some freedom you've got, huh?
It must be a quote from "Dick & Jane's Easy Reader". This is your idea of splitting the world into two spheres (there's that "freedom again!) making believe that FULL DEMOCRACY is comprised of "stupid people, uneducated people, low information people, people who are misinformed and lazy people who want free stuff" and FLAWED DEMOCRACIES are inhabited by smart people, educated people, high information people, people who well informed and industrious people who want to achieve their possession by their own sweat. That is one of the most childish things I have ever heard in my life.
Back to "the left" again, huh? I know how this works, I’ve seen it before. If you have a handful of multi-gazillionaires in a sea of poverty-stricken destitution you’ll ignore the mass and tell me that the US is the most prosperous country in the world. But if you’ve got a couple of states that have little (or no) freedom you will ignore the few and claim that the US has the most freedom in the world.

I assume the vast majority of Americans have no political education whatsoever so when their boss “dumps” on their head they’ll beam with pride and say that they and their boss are part of a glorious team, making America great but then they’ll get into their rusty old Chevrolet and ram it into their countrymen who have no car at all just to flaunt their “wealth” over those who have nothing in order to feel better about themselves after being humiliated at work where the minimum wage is less than what is needed to survive.
