Rusian imperialism existed with the Czars, with the Communist Czars, and now with Putin the Oligagharczar. Even Solzhenitsyn who was considered a "liberal" stated after the USSR broke up that Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Khazakstan should be in one union under Russia. My family's roots are from Western Ukraine and I am not going to listen to anyone or your crap about them being Nazi s or fascists. My family were nationalists in the sense that they desired a free and independent Ukraine with neither Russian or Polish domination. Youband the Putin troops here try to paint nationalists as Nazis, and that is bullshit. When Russians impose the Russian language on parts of non Russian countries that is imperialistic fascism. Ukrainian nationalists want Ukraine to have it's own culture and determine it's own destiny. Russia and it's imperialism stands in the way. What if the Ukrainians who settled in the Kuban a couple three centuries ago demanded to break away and become part of Ukraine and exclusively use the Ukrainian language? That is the of what the Russians who "settled" in Eastern Ukraine. Russia needs to be a good neighbor and stay on it's side of the fence. Ukraine and Russia can be trading partners but the key us partners.

How is that going to end? How many people - facing SUCH kind of 'patriotism' - will be willing, sincerely, to be ukrainian citizens again? They won't want back in Ukraine, and if Kiev forcefully subjugates Donbass to be part of Ukraine again - what these people are to expect? Deportations? Executions? Passive lack of any reaction from government, while 'self defence battalions' will wreak havoc in country? These people are hazard for Ukraine, and Poroshenko lets them be. Is not that a problem big enough to for a moment forget about my country, and solve the very actual, very much existing problem in your own? Or what, you think that without few thousand of armed goons your country will suddenly fall apart? These goons are harming it more, than any sort of invasion - because they divide citizens, while invasions make citizens unite against the invaders. While you try dealing with a giant federational country next to your borders, your own unitary state gets cracks from internal disputes, that you ignore.
