The question should be why are you defending our propaganda networks when they have been caught lying over and over again?

As for Ukraine, the people voted for Yanukovich, so why didn't the US in the person of Victoria Nuland allow the Ukraine to choose their own future, and instead imposed a fascist junta on them with a coup - not to mention choosing Yatsenuk for president? The hypocrisy is appalling.

Remember Nulands words to Ambassador Pyatt: "Yats is the man, and f*ck the EU." Now the idiot is destroying the American dollar, something neither Russia nor China wanted to do because of the affect it would have on the world's economy. What do you think the latest talks between Russia and China are about?

    1) That Russia can wipe us off the map is absolutely relevent to the nuke decision.. is the claim to which you responded

2)"No it isn't. Don't forget, we'll be wiping them off the map too if they do that".

    2) in your response you state that if Russia nukes us .. we will nuke them.

Saying "if Russia nukes us" does not include Russia making a decision to nuke us ? You don't know what you are saying from one sentence to the next ..

It does not address Russia's decision making and does not address any attempt to deter them. Their decision making is completely irrelevant to my position.

Yes I do. Read that Wikipedia article that I linked.

Hey Poohbear, since you said Russia didn't cooperate about the airliner that was shot down, have you ever personally seen the American satellite photos? Strange isn't it, since they supposedly own the skies and had 3 in the area where the plane was? But then again Obama did say: "Trust me!", so I guess we should obey.

As for me, I did see the Russian satellite photo. A Russian general revealed it to everyone, which means Moscow did cooperate and guess what? There was a jet near the airliner - just as the eye witnesses said. Have you ever wondered why Malaysia refused to accept the reports coming out of the Netherlands - which is nothing more than a neo con stronghold?

Here's a German satire about the information war on Ukraine with English subtitles. It's quite revealing. It's nice to know that there are
still some bright people in the world.

I'd forgot about that satire video but it's spot on. When the airliner was shot down, then Secretary of State John Kerry said the US had satellite proof of a missile being launched from Russia that took it out. He said this at a press briefing. No proof exists. This is the crap the masses are fed and believe. They just take what the talking heads say as gospel.

Journalism is dead. We have seen no reporting from the ground either in the Donbass region or Russian border. I can get a roundtrip flight today to Moscow then Rostov-on-Don for $1200 bucks. Within 24 hours I could be in Donbass or on the Russian border to see what is really going on. Why can't a so-called super duper western journalist....that is reporting about Russia....do this?

If the journalists do not follow the editorial line, they will end up bloggers because no one will hire them. They've done it to some top journalists. Bill Clinton's the one to blame, because he passed something that allowed 6 corporations to buy up and monopolize the medias.

There was a time when I would immerse myself in the NYTimes because it was so informative,. It didn't matter to me if it was liberal or not, one could always look past that. I then began reading the BBC, but when I caught them in a lie, I stopped. When I came on this forum, the MSM began making me sick to my stomach, because there was no individual opinions. They were all following the same editorial line and leaving out the same things.

I remember a Syrian telling me that when they speak to their relatives, they're told that nothing there is the way it's being presented here. I said I know that, because I knew people who moved back to Syria because they loved Assad's all inclusive society.

I then began reading Al Jazeera until they too began following the same MSM line. In the meantime I would go onto a non MSM Greek site and was surprised at what was really going on in Ukraine - especially Crimea. If you remember the military plane that was shot down at the start of the war, well according to that site which was probably getting their information from Greeks living there, many of the men who died were Americans. Yet when they tried to give back the bodies, they wouldn't accept them for fear the American people would find out.

My big mistake was that I mentioned the foreign sites I was getting my information from on the forum, and since then the Greek site has been following the Washington line, and as for the other foreign sites, they have been having financial troubles.
I know who the poster is who's causing the problem and I assume he's a shill, yet there's nothing I can do. I'm just careful now not to mention any site, unless they're part of the MSM.

Once again you claim something I never said.

Nuclear weapons do deter an attack.

But NOT by the possibility of annihilating the other side which is impossible.

Nuclear weapons deter an attack by threatening to inflict an unacceptable level of damage on the attacker. The U.S. defense depart. used to have specific formulas about how much damage the U.S. had to inflict on the Soviets to deter an attack.

Syrians who do not pretend to love Assad will have their children tortured and killed in front of them by Assad's security forces.

Dude .. what you are saying above is exactly what I said ...

    .

To which you responded "No. .. that is NOT how deterrence works" ... Now you are denying you said this .. and affirming the opposite.

    Make up your mind ..

Oh yeah, another one.... Russia promised not to violate Ukraine's border in return for the
Ukraine surrendering their Soviet nukes. Ha ha ha ha ha ha....
And today - Russia accuses NATO of wanting medium range nukes, whilst building the
very things themselves. Ha ha ha ha ha ha....who's fooling who here?

ps HOW did America impose a junta on Ukraine?

Russia never violated Ukraine's border. According to the OSCE guards at the border between Russia and Ukraine, volunteers came in from Russia during their holidays, wearing their uniforms but unarmed and without passports. They would then go to a depot to pick up guns and test them at a shooting range. Frankly, I have a suspicion that many were Ukrainians who had joined the Russan army and then returned as volunteers to free their country.

When General Breedlove said that thousands of Russians and tanks were invading Ukraine, something that was repeated to the Foreign Relations Committee by Victoria Nuland, it shocked the German Intelligence Agents because they couldn't see anything. They asked the American agents if they saw Russian troops, and they said; "no", so according to the German 'Spiegel', they reported that General Breedlove was hallucinating. He was probably relieved of his position after that.

As for Crimea, it was an independent country until it was invaded by Ukraine in 1995. After the pogron at Korsun when the buses of the Crimean protesters were burned by the 'nationalists', and 7 were killed outright and 30 were missing and presumed dead, Crimea declared its independence.

The Crimean people asked the Russian troops that were stationed at Sevastopol to protect them while they held a referendum. They then voted to join Russia rather than independence, as protection from Ukraine.

Russia has been pushing for a new treaty, but its concerns are continuously denied.

Ukraine is a divided country. It's two different cultures, and the Galicians hate the Russians as much as they hated the Poles and Jews. That's why they killed them. When Yanukovich realized that Ukraine couldn't join the EU because they would have lost their trade benefits with Russia and would have had to borrow billions from the IMF, the Galicians wanted to secede.

Nuland told them not to, and so it was arranged to have over a million protesters head for Kiev. Now someone was supporting them, I mean you can't live for 3 months without money? A German poster said Merkel was, but I'm not sure. What I do know is that whenever Vladimir Putin sees diplomatic cargo planes landing in neighboring countries, he gives them fair warning to watch out. They might be packed with dollars.

The first president of the Junta in Ukraine was Yatsenuk, that is until he was kicked out for stealing from the IMF. Here's a video of Asst. Sec. of State for European Affairs Victoria Nuland talking to Ambassador Pyatt on who they should install as the next president of Ukraine. In it Nuland says; "Yats the man." And when Pyatt said what about the EU, she said: "F*ck the EU" and caused an international scandal.

From the Junta that was imposed on them. It was a coup you know? In order to work and be able to hold on to their lands, many young men went to Russia. It's not farfetched to think that as Russians, they would prefer serving in the Russian army rather than being conscripted into the Ukrainian one.

I know that when Crimea was annexed, many Ukrainians who were stationed there switched to the Russian army since the pay was much higher. It all depended I guess on what part of Ukraine they came from.

    Here, let me educate you:

Coup - A sudden, violent, and unlawful seizure of power from a government.

    This is from Wikipedia:

Yanukovych was elected President in 2010, defeating Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko. The election was judged free and fair by international observers. November 2013 saw the beginning of a series of events that led to his ousting as president. Yanukovych rejected a pending EU association agreement, choosing instead to pursue a Russian loan bailout and closer ties with Russia. This led to protests and the occupation of Kyiv's Independence Square, a series of events dubbed the "Euromaidan" by proponents of aligning Ukraine toward the European Union. In January 2014, this developed into deadly clashes in Independence Square and in other areas across Ukraine.

What a chaotic mess. Is this OUR future here in the US between the lib socialism, inflation, end of the nuclear family, disdain for patriotism, open borders, non-citizens voting and all the rest?

Free their country? From what, the EU ? And revert to what, Putin-land ?
    Muahahahaha
I think you need to define 'freedom'

    Volunteers on holidays?
    Muahahahaha
Wonder how they got that Buk Truck out of Russia and into Ukraine?

I wonder if there ever was a Second Gulf War? Maybe, according to Jeannette
Logic, it was just Iraqi dissidents trying to free Iraq? Dressed in Iraqi uniforms.

I'm just repeating what the OSCE guards said at the border. Don't put it up with me, put it up with them.

Well according to the Vineyard of he Saker, 4 Buks were moved from Kiev to the Donbass a week before and he couldn't understand why. So why not ask him?

This is our future, thanks to the media and their cover ups. A few years back before Russia began developing its hypersonic weapons, Putin blasted the newspaper reporters for not telling the American people what was going on. The hypersonic weapons they have will not be aimed at Poland and Romania since they have no choice, they'll be aimed at us.

The war drums are getting louder and louder. Here is the 'brilliant' response from Stoltenberg towards Russia's concerns and security guarantees:
