S.Korea and Russia bid to clone mammoth

    Russian and South Korean scientists have signed a deal on joint research intended to recreate a woolly mammoth, an animal which last walked the earth some 10,000 years ago.

    Sounds cool, I don't completely understand the long term benefits of this specifically, but hopefully it'll lead to us being able to clone our own organs so there's never a need for a donor. Pleistocene Park anyone?

    That's just great news...now we'll have another animal to add to the 'Endangered Species' list

    10 years ago or something Russia sold ( gave away, I donno ) frozen mammoth to Japan. All what Russia does is just giving away all resources from the ground :)
