One US study does not prove that America's whole direction has been wrong.

In science (such as this) it would be a gigantic blunder to accept one study to redirect America.

 

It was the redirection of America's immigration policy in 1965 from race based to geography based that was a gigantic blunder. Which is why we have 30 million Mexicans in America today, or 1/4 of the entire world Mexican population.

 

I don't know of a geography based restriction other than in the diversity program.

For years, the diversity slots allocated to North and South American countries was a grand total of zero.

Today, the diversity program allocates 9 slots to Mexicans.

Can you cite a geography based restriction in other immigration programs?

 

It's the lack of restrictions that is the problem. A politician (I forget who) said back in 1965, (paraphrasing from memory) "This doesn't mean we're going to take in a million Mexican immigrants every year." It turned out to be closer to two million Mexican immigrants some years. People dismiss slippery slope arguments out of hand, but all too often, the slippery slope becomes the reality.

You're going to use 1965 law as a reason to invalidate 2018 law when the 2018 law is NOT SIMILAR?

This a wake up call. To differentiate America, a once great country, but still not too bad, from truly crap countries. To MAGA, it must be clear what make countries great and what does not.

Examining these differences and becoming aware, is part of the process of enlightenment. As is seems many people don't know, or even care to know.

America has fallen a long way, and there are many reasons for that. The screaming and gnashing of teeth at the pointing out of the obvious is indicative of the state.
