I have never met any and don't know where I would find them outside of perhaps progressive universities
I guess people are just wondering what you are talking about. I, for example, have no clue what you are referring to. What event were you excluded from? Personally I have never been excluded from anything, and if someone told me an event was 'blacks only', I'd just say 'have fun' and walk away.
That probably speaks volumes about the prevalence of the issue. Think about the thousands of office Christmas parties happening across America this year. How many do you think are a safe place for POC? Do you think it would even equate to one tenth of percent? But I can understand the passion of trying to understand an issue, even a very rare one. If you do not know anyone in RL try posting on reddit. If you think it is only a topic at progressive universities try a subreddit like r/berkeley.
I'm sorry you're not keeping up with current issues but I'm not interested in spoon feeding them to you. You can insert that spoon feeding meme you love to post so much here
Ok. So, you are hurt because you were excluded from a black event, but don't want to talk about it. Got it. Just how bad did you want to attend that event?
Instead of doing your usual attempt to derail the thread and attempt to bait me into getting infracted by engaging the foolishness you posed above.... Why not simply learn something about the topic by reading about it or go find some other thread to attempt to derail? https://www.careercontessa.com/advice/the-white-gaze-at-work/ https://www.huffpost.com/archive/ca/entry/ethnic-safe-spaces_b_6897176
Which BEGS the question, what EXACTLY did YOU learn from those LINKS? If STOPPED reading at the term "safe spaces" that would EXPLAIN the OP screed that EXPOSED the FAILURE to comprehend the FOLLOWING. Strange how NONE of the ABOVE was present in the OP. It is ALMOST as if the OP never bothered to read the ENTIRE link they just provided to "EDUCATE OTHERS" about this topic. The OTHER link CONFIRMS this to be the case. The VALUE of Safe Spaces comes across LOUD and CLEAR in the links above. But all the OP could muster was an INSINUATION that this was a form of "anti white racism" instead. REALITY matters.
Another white right-winger with a siege mentality. Its "a shared feeling of victimization and defensiveness. It is a collective state of mind in which a group of people believe themselves constantly attacked, oppressed, or isolated in the face of the negative intentions of the rest of the world. Although a group phenomenon, the term describes both the emotions and thoughts of the group as a whole, and as individuals". Which can apply to some Blacks as well, but they have actual evidence for their defensiveness.
